Unlucky tonight and sickening professional job done on us by a huge team of physical players. They defended crosses brilliantly and caught us out with a bit of Arsenal class. We look good, play attractive football and will be fine. With a bit more fortune we would have been out of sight first half. Defensively we look ok with Jones a great addition and dare I say it an improvement on Smith. Hird is a steady, safe centre half in place of Cooper. Roberts is on form and Morsey excellent again. An entertaining season to come and I am sure we will surprise the bookies with a play off berth!!

Great away performance shame we lost to a club who deserve the square root of F all in terms of success but I enjoyed the game despite the loss we played the right way so did they. Great test.

Yes, They did a professional job on us after all they are a team of professional footballers so thats to be expected from any team coming to our place in League 1. Actually I felt they exposed some of our weaknesses that need addressing. A proper right full back is required. I'm not being critical of Tendayi just that he is clearly not a right back and needs to be on the offensive only. Our fullbacks tonight didn't link up well enough with the midfielder in front i.e.. Jones and Roberts, Tendayi and Bocco and each pair in my view should be working the line together with the objective of getting to the by line before crossing. Too often we swing in crosses from the corner of the 18 had box which more often than not turns into a defenders ball as its heading straight at them and easier to defend, we must get round the back of their fullbacks much more often, crosses from that position are much harder to defend and will certainly result in more chances for scoring. I think also we are depending too much on Roberts and quite frankly he does't have the legs, he needs to be managed more I think in terms of pitch time. Obviously more confidence required up front. Doyle was clean through early in second half but If you notice his first instinct was to look for a pass rather than straight at goal, thought he then snatched at it having lost a few seconds. That first thought lost him some time, clearly tis is a confidence thing.

When will people realise Hird is not physically strong enough. Will cost us big time defensively.

Agree. Tidy ball player, but gets done far too often.

He doesn't win headers and gets knocked about all over the shop. Some people rate him but I do not.

How can it be a confidence thing when he had, before last night, 4 in 3?

I'm surprised that folk are still knocking Hird. I'm more concerned about Evatt - he's made mistakes in every home game so far this season and is going to cost us sooner rather than later. He seems to have lost more of his pace. We really need to replace Cooper.
If nothing acts faster than anadin, why do we buy anadin?

Great going forward; but I thought he was verging on poor defensively; very often out of position, and got caught on his heels badly once or twice in the second half, when he managed to look very slow- which I don't think he is in reality.

sorry, but I think we will be some way off a play off berth - top 10 at very best. Which is fine by me.
A new hope.

Evatt was superb last night my MOTM. Hird is good at controlling the ball but when he has is I have no confidance at all with what he does next. backed off there players far to easily last night instead of standing up and when he was backing off lost his balance and he was straight past him for there goal. id say Hird could cover if Evatt was out but we definately need someone to replace Cooper
