Ian Morris is out for the season with another knee injury

He always looked likely to be blown away in a still breeze to me.

Another good day for the shaymen's ex Spireites yesterday as Boden scored and Adam Smith and Jamie Jackson also played well apparently. Craig clay scored two for Grimsby in their rout of the Alfs too.

Not an ex spireite but very nearly. Ryan Cresswell signed for Northampton.

See Jordan Burrow has been called up to the England C squad with Craig Clay in the stand by squad. Bit surprised not to see Scott Boden called up.

Watched Nivo captain a flying Buxton side battering Belper today (the Nailers' boss resigned at full time). Derek is only 30 and surely capable of playing League 2 or Conference, but good to see a top bloke having a good season.
These go to eleven.

Good to hear Nivo had a good game, on the two occasions I've seen him since he left he looked a shadow of his former self. Shame Duffield's thrown the towel in so soon after getting them promoted to their highest level

He played well but against poor opposition, low on confidence. It was the first time I've seen Nivo play since he left, and I suppose he can't still be the same player or he'd still be playing higher up, unless playing part-time on a decent wage fits well with whatever else Derek does. As for Duffield, it's unclear as yet why he went but my strong suspicion is that with a low budget at the new higher level, he knew a season of struggle might damage his reputation. As it is, he'll walk into a job elsewhere at Evo-stik One level.
These go to eleven.

Compare him to players like Togwell, or Morgan. Players of much better ability and neither playing league football, then I'd suggest not.

Lets face it, a model pro, heart of a lion and as committed as I've seen in a town short, but one of the less skilful regulars I've ever seen in my 20+ years watching town.

Another couple of years of flattering to deceive, a few starts and a few cameo appearances here and there.

Must have shown far more at MK than he did here or there'd surely be no contract extension. Who knows, maybe the penny's finally dropped...
