Nice to see the Caldwell 'dead cat' new manager bounce is still in operation.
These go to eleven.

Ahhh, but think how much more heavily they might have been defeated had they not appointed him.

I'm glad he's putting all that learning into effect that he gained by having been so badly treated at CFC.

If you look at the report of last week's Partick defeat on the BBC website, Caldwell gives a very upbeat assessment of Partick's performance and their future.

The tone and the very words themselves will ring in your head. You'll be thinking you've heard the exact same thing before. Can you actually plagiarise yourself?

For Caldwell's football vision to work he needs to find a club already at rock bottom to build, not ones that are on a rapid decline, he won't get time. For him, us and Partick are the wrong club at the wrong time.

I really hope we have hit rock-bottom, but I still wouldn't want Mr personality back.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

His vision would only work in a minor league where opposition is mediocre, and he has the backing others can only dream of. A league that isn’t competitive, where he has good players he doesn’t have to coach, day to day to get the message across, and isn’t fiercely competitive.

Somewhere like L.A. Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
A new hope.

A fighting draw by Caldwell’s 2nd bottom team against the bottom of the league.
Hence his words after:
‘It was an outstanding performance away from home, a high pressure game, the bravery in possession, the control of the goal, the understanding of how we wanted to play, a fantastic performance.‘

It looks like his Partick team avoided defeat this weekend.

By not playing.

I wouldn’t back them not to lose even then with him in charge

Another 1-0 defeat today for Caldwell’s Thistle, to those giants of the Scottish Championship, who rise to 5th out of 10 teams.
Could we write our Gary’s post match script?
‘We passed well today, don’t think we deserves to lose. No,I don’t think it was a mistake to put them through their paces last weekend with 4th paras. These players just need some confidence.’
Alternatively see Martin Allen’s book of post match quotes.

They ought to sack him for misconduct, having lied about his level of backing at CFC in his interview and save themselves the pay off.
A new hope.

Feel sympathy for them, anyone who doesn't support the Old Firm are ok by me.

They should have listened to us and we should have listened Wigan fans before we gave him the benifit of doubt.

Football fans are a genuine and discerning breed, rivalry and posturing somewhat goes out of the window when we feel something needs to be said. Hence the warnings from Sheffield Wednesday fans re the current regime.
East stand second class citizen.

Caldwell: The fact we are now bottom is a challenge for everyday at the club. Our fans can be assured we will all be working hard to get the club back up the table as quickly as we can - but it will take a lot of hard work."
