Not often you come home from a 3-2 defeat upbeat and unbowed but it happened yesterday. Great game smashing entertainment and real optimism for the next 7 months.

Proud to be a Spireite, top stuff from Paul Cook, his staff, the Board and all the players and back room guys and gals. The Town is buzzing long may it continue.

As my good mate Jonnythespireite said post Preston, 'We got balls'

Yes we are struggling with injuries and are at times gun-ho and naive but the football, the spirit and the ride is flippin brilliant. I genuinely think that overall, taking everything into account, its the best feeling I have had about our Club as a whole since I started watching in 1968.

We are getting it right at every level on and off the pitch and given a fair wind, maybe, just maybe, my dream of a season in the Championship can finally become a reality in the next few years.

Oh yes and the fans, what a show 2nd half yesterday top drawer, made the hairs stand up on the back of the neck, the belief was palpable

The great thing about watching CFC is that defeats don't feel like defeats..........always enjoyable even when we lose.

Like someone pointed out, the defence has has been disrupted so much...Evatt having 3 or 4 diiferent partners in the first 9 games....& it shows. If we get that stability we will be fine. (yesterdays goals clearly show a lack of understanding at the back)

Oh & if we manage to entice Johnson here :ninja:

Good post. Sums up exactly how I felt. We derved a point. I spoke to a couple of their fans after and they said we were the best team to come to the Keepmoat for a while. We will win more than we lose and if we can increase away support a even more things might happen. Anyone seen Armand's disallowed goal. Was he offside?
I'm Happy Happy

The thing is that when we do lose games the opposition have either got to have Lady Luck on their side, the officials or they have got to have worked a damn sight harder than they have ever before. Then to top it all off the matches are all going to be entertaining.
It's such a good feeling to come away from a defeat knowing that the team gave it one hell of a shot for the supporters, leaving us all with overwhelming pride for them.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Not seen it, but he wants his pay docking if he was!!. The positioning can't get any more basic.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Got to agree with that one. If you're looking along the line of defenders and STILL get offside you're a fool.

The highlights might tell us, but I wouldn't have thought even Armand could get offside in that position. I thought he provided a terrific threat yesterday, but I still have doubts about him starting.

Unfortunately highlights show nothing that helps, ball into the six yard box and the first time we see Armand is as he slides in.

Clearly off on the extended highlights. Also very marginally off when he shot over the bar.

Yes, different format (wider view) on ext highlights, and he indeed looks offside for the disallowed effort.

I suppose in the cold light of day we've gone away from home twice in the last week, played very well in two second halves, scored five goals but only taken a solitary point, which now puts pressure on the home games of we want to stay in the upper reaches. I'd settle for a couple of scrappy one nil wins

 Conceding 6 goals in 2 games tells a tale.A few clean sheets with, like you say, scoring the odd scrappy goal will get us back on track.Yes we're still in the top 6 but these defensive frailties need sorting.

Of course, it's shocking that our defence isn't watertight, it's not like we have both first choice full backs and two senior centre halfs out injured is it?

We haven't got frailties, we've got injuries.
