Have to start next Satdi, the first two must be pushing for a start and Robbo must be on the bench at least!

Armand did very well when he came on (missed a chance that anyone should've scored but he held it up and his flicks ons were unusually accurate) but I see no need to start him. That would mean either dropping Doyle who is on fire or changing
formation.

Jayo should and presumably will start.

we have a problem, jones is ireplaceable, morsy is ireplacable...no player can do what they do,i cannot see a balanced side wothout those 2 key players especially 4231...system has to change while they are out.Id imagine 451,with ryan as the holding midfielder in the 5..maybe

Are we working on the basis Morsy is out for a while?

Is it confirmed he is?

First game back after a layoff. He was excellent in the first games of the season. Perhaps today's game was a little too early for him to return, but needs must with DJ's injury.
Btw its Humphreys. Just saying! ;)

i didnt go today but i would guess kyle bennett would rip humphries a new arris, far too good for him if he played down the right like he did for bury, especially with humphries coming back off an injury, for what its worth i dont think humphries is up to this league at his age but whats the option ,are we really saying cluclas can play left back?

I don't think so. The problem is we've been chasing two games in four days. It isn't, surely, a genuine option.

Ollie Banks was easily the best player on the field when he came on in Morsy's position. The transition will be no problem for him and he has to start.

I'm not happy.

I can take the defensive problems, given the injury list. Having said that, Tommy has lost it as an inspiration - he's saving nowt; and why Evo couldn't move to the LHS just for one game to allow Raglan a slightly easier ride on the right is beyond me.

But for me the worst bit today was the total wastage of possession and openings in the second half. Our players must learn to be much more aware of where their team mates are, and do the most effective thing with the ball.

Was good to see Banks play in Morsys position, I had assumed Johnson would drop back but Cook definitely got it right

Armand and O'Shea were brilliant when they came on and Cook has some very difficult decisions to make. Pity he doesn't similar tough decisions to make in defence

A tad harsh, we didn't enjoy the best of luck with some of the openings we created, but it's still something to work on. The worst offender is O'Shea, who has been brilliant in the last two games 'til it comes to the final ball, but that was always his problem. He can pull defences around, keep possession in a crowd, and dribble like Jack Lester, but it doesn't seem to leave him time to see where his team mates are. And he ought to shoot more and straighter. I think he'll be starting ahead of Boco, who hasn't been very effective in the last couple of games, though still giving defences something to think about - and he seems to be the target for goal kicks. And he heads an amazing number of them for such a small bloke.

.....Armand, offside when a schoolboy wouldn't have been. Evatt, persistent petty fouling in their box - easy meat for a homer ref. Poor decision making in their box. Sorry, it all got to me on the day. I'm a really happy bunny in general, but the top teams in L1 are much more polished. We have some way to go.

The top teams are certainly a lot more polished at crossing the ball, getting players on the end of it and the 'keeper in no-man's-land. Attacking on the floor and down the middle I don't think we're far behind.
Good point about Evatt though. It got a bit monotonous, the whistle for the corner to be taken, immediately followed by the whistle for a foul.
