In which case put your views forward for both design and materials. The project is to be led my the views and the memories of those associated with Saltergate.
In particular we want to know which matches, events and memories properly invoke The Spirit of Saltergate and so should be referenced in the artwork or multimedia content.

It is described in the brief as "modest". It is probably 20m x 12m but has to maintain the pedestrian access.

You can't really invoke the spirit with a memory of just one game though, the memory and spirit of saltergate must be more than that.
The enclosure
The away dressing room
Night matches
The kop bogs (rivers of p**s, good luck doing that in multi media)
Birchy with his socks rolled down
Bob Newton breaking the net
Hermans header v Mansfield
Derek's volley v man city
An Ernie moss header
Ernies goal v rangers
Tom Curtis penalty v forest
Chris Beaumont v Wrexham
A pack of those rancid fish and chip flavour crisps / snacks
Jim brown scoring
Having your own 'spot' on the terraces
The snowball fight v Huddersfield
The fogged off game v Bristol rovers
The players bar / broom cupboard under the stand
Queues for semi final tickets
Chris price falling into the Compton
Rodney fern hitting the kennings sign above the goal
Calvin plummers hattrick v Stockport
Beating Grimsby
The players ruck v Sheff utd
Bill green chinning a milwall player and getting sent off
Chris Brandon's ridiculous goal v Wednesday
Dave wallers goal v aldershot
Mark Kendall
The Shaun oneill shuffle
Those moth eaten cushions in the exec box
Uncomfortable seats
Les hunters diving header v Exeter (I think)
Roy Mac and the Amarillo video in the corridor
Alan crawfords goal straight from the kick off
To name just a few!

I never realised why so many women used to hang around that area now i know..
We are proud of Chesterfield and keen to attract new investment into the town – so we feel it is right to give our residents and local businesses a say in the artwork that will used at Horsbridge, a key entry point into the town from the M1."

The work will go on the paved area on the corner of Saltergate and West Street. The contribution for art from this development was put mostly to the gateways projects such as Horns Bridge but some has been clawed back to supplement this art.
As the piece is being developed in conjunction with residents and fans it is up to them what it is made of and how it looks. The multimedia aspect is being done as a voluntary add-on although the commissioning agent and the artist see the films that are to be made and linked to the piece as integral to the artwork. Fans can also have their say on what goes into these films.
