Scunthorpe couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery.

Can see us having a fair load down here, attractive trip in my eyes. Seen us win a couple of times at Ashton Gate, was one of the 140 odd on the Friday night when Hudson turned it on for the Sky Cameras and also saw us win 4-2, did someone score a hat-trick? Paul Hall? Remember Kevan Hurst scoring a screamer.

didn't work for Scunny - they had 40/50 people travel down without tickets, having been told by their club that they would be available on the day, only to be denied entry. Some of these claim to have bought them over the phone for pick up beforehand but they didn't get in either. Long way to go to miss a game

I lived in Newport when we played our 1st ever game at Bristol Rovers Memorial Ground. When I poled up I was informed that it was all ticket for the away fans, and there were quite a few other Spireites caught out likewise. luckily for me a local took pity on me and got me in their kop with a spare ticket he had. Think we got tonked 3-0 with Cureton scoring (as ever).

Was at Ashton Gate during the last bank holiday weekend and can confirm that one end of the ground is just a flat empty space (a la Oxford) at present. Apparently the new stand will be a curved end that joins up with the two touchline stands. Really enjoyed the weekend in the city and 'enjoyed' several of the local hostelries. A fair few town fans up in Clifton pre-match would be good, esp. on the huge beer garden that overlooks the suspension bridge and the gorge below. Think it was the White Hart Hotel.

Bristol Rovers new stadium looks impressive also:

They took 40000 to Wembley the other year, they have the support, the new age fan only likes new grounds, we should know.

Does this game fall on a international break weekend? Thus providing potential problems maybe with our Irish contingent

Not exactly ripping the conference up yet are they. The more years they have out of the league the more the support will dwindle

Yes it does, they play Gibraltar the same day, ideal to give out a debut or two...

Call ups for Ryan & Doyle? We will be in bother if we get two called up and have to play.

We could do with an Egypt call for Samy if so.

I was thinking along the lines of will the game take place how many potential "call ups" could Bristol have

It is international weekend - do Bristol have any internationals from obscure countries like Swindon did?

I have never seen us win in Bristol and must have been over 10 times (Rovers and City combined)

The good news then is that I can't make this fixture as I am on holiday so fully expect a Spireite victory

If the train was a bit cheaper it could have been a top day out travelling that way.
