Nah he just told a story about how his mate had lost him on a night out, walked home, then walked back to town to carry on drinking with Josh ;)

Only one I ever watched was Tom Baker, who I thought was great.

The original is still the greatest.

tbf I got one on offer last year for £80, not got many blue rays, but you can still watch DVD's on it. It also connects to the internet so can watch youtube and netflix on it too

Do you have a HD tv and think that is worth it? Personally I can't tell difference but then it couldn't be argued that I have 20:20 vision ....

The difference between a HD telly and none HD is huge but only if it's a HD signal going into it. Whether that's via Blu Ray or Sky/Virgin/BT HD.
If you watch something on HD then watch it on normal it's like watching it through a dirty window. Ive never watched a Blu Ray so couldn't comment even though I've got a Blu Ray player on my XBox.

If you watch it all the time it becomes normal...then you only notice it if you watch normal telly. Tends to be more noticeable for things like sport though and probably films.

On a properly set up TV the difference between HD and a normal signal is huge

Make sure you watch the HD signal through an HDMI cable though or the difference will not be as marked
