See he came on after 52 minutes for Barrow last game. Will be strange to see him play against us on Saturday if it happens.

I hope he gets the reception he deserves. He was an outstanding pro whilst here - never once shown a lack of effort or interest, even when he was transfer-listed by Cookie. He won a starting spot back and proved to be a valuable player.

Can't think of a more professional professional that Sam.

Always gave 100%, a model pro.

I guess that would depend on how well Sam has recovered from injury.

Has anyone seen him this season for Alfreton? Has he played regularly etc?
A new hope.

An amputeed Sam Hird would still be an improvement on Hollis.

I hope Town fans offer both Sam and Ian the respect their service to our club deserves.

Little doubt they’ll both get an excellent reception.

Nothing to do with pay, it's to do with their commitment and effort.

Well the fact they were injured wasn't their fault personally was it, training, fitness treatment is the issue for us isn't it?
And both deserve a tremendous reception.

Why do you have to be controversial all the time. Sam always had time for us in league one especially when we were struggling. Came into casa afterwards and spoke to each and every one of us telling us how they are trying to turn it round. Genuinely gutted when the club was struggling. Evo too gave his all for the club and for that reason ill be on my feet Saturday to give them a very warm reception along with most of the people in the ground.

Hang on, I thought soft tissue injuries are avoidable, but now it seems it’s the fault of the players?
A new hope.

I will be there on my feet showing appreciation for two great players who showed commitment and dedication to CFC whilst they were both here. Good on ya Lads ... BTW lets not get to soft .... still hope we beat Barrow.
