Also judging by the goalie's performance again, I'm beginning to wonder whether Allen did not run the united, committed ship that he liked to portray in public. Issues were covered up. The goalie, MAF, Hines?
And you can probably add Joe Rowley to the list. Thing is, the dressing room containg a squad that can't win a game for love nor money must be a very tense place, and sparks are going to fly. Any manager, staring down the barrel, would have to be a superman to calm things down.
The best that can be hoped for is to keep dressing romm fall-outs in the dressing room, and MA at least managed that. Behind the scenes things were obviously in a 'state of heightened tension', or warfare as some might call it.
Fairly normal state of affairs I should think. Happens in all organisations, let alone one that employs adrenaline-crazed youngsters.
