The other two were against Lithuania and Estonia

Before Spain he hadn’t scored for 3 years for England

Tripped up, fell over, missed open goals loads of times though

Haha

Seriously

If I played 90 minutes all season for City I’d get 20 goals

He’s a complete headless chicken with the ball at his feet

For England, surrounded by decent if not world class footballers, he’s an absolute joke, City’s ballers carry him,

Barcelona?

If they wanted him they’d buy him, couldn’t tie Mahrez’s laces

Oh dear!
Uneducated Chesterfield fan in top England and Premiership player is rubbish rant - bit embarrassing

Best you can do?

Talk to me about Sterlers for England

So uneducated it’s embarrassing. You do realise he’s still only 23 and been developing over the past years as kids do? His levels last season and this are incredible and still not reached his peak. They couldn’t get near him last night as haven’t most sides in the last 18 months.

Pep’s just offered him a new 5 year deal, but I bow down to your insightful opinion over his. 👌

A player so poor he’s a regular in a premiership side that spends for fun so would replace him at the drop of a hat if need be plus they’ve just offered him a massive new contract and also a regular at international level....but hey a bloke who supports a non league team says he’s poo!!

Just typical Sterlers

He’s just so bad it’s laughable

So bad? That’s why he’s regularly playing and scoring for one of the best teams in Europe I suppose. The Sterling bashing is just ridiculous at times

Media picked him as one to target then stupid folk followed their lead. Became fashionable to have a pop at him.

He’s a young, successful, black man. It’s no surprise he’s picked on. Disgraceful. Top player.

I don't think race has anything to do with it- the likes of Vardy and Dier have had their criticism too.

I just watched the penalty incident- first bit of Champions League football I've watched this season, I think, and I took BT Sport in the hope that I'd see Town on there.
These go to eleven.

I do think he missed an easy opportunity to waive away the penalty. They were going to win easily anyway.

Any number of very good players have been pants for England over the years so that’s not just an issue with sterling. That said in the World Cup and against Spain he was decent. He’s also done well for Liverpool in the Prem prior to joining City so it’s not just City making him look good although he’s only going to get better in that side playing as they do.

As mentioned he’s a young kid who still has loads of improving to do but let’s be not kid ourselves that he’s crap like you claim.

They can’t replace him because he’s English, home grown players and all that

Certainly doesn’t appear to have been able to convince managers he should be playing on a regular basis....unlike Sterling did at that age at Liverpool. ;)

Nothing to do with it. If they didn’t rate him and didn’t want him he’d be gone. Home grown rule is just the overall squad not the matchday squad and they figure out a way round it with younger players are having the likes of Richard Wright as a keeper back up like they did for a few years. They wouldn’t pay a guy hundreds of thousands a week to bump up the quota numbers.
