Which border, which country, which planet are the questions that spring to mind.

Oh to be a fly on the wall when the interviewer asked the question.."and what about your last job at Chesterfield care to explain your dismal tenure there?"...the answer could make for interesting reading!

And in two years' time, (if we're lucky), the same is posted about MA??

I'll leave that one hanging for the historians, if there are any left.

The Board of Partick Thistle has announced that Gary Caldwell is the Club’s new manager and will take up the role with immediate effect. Brian Kerr will also join the Club as assistant manager.

Caldwell, 36, had a successful playing career and was capped 55 times for Scotland before moving in to management. His first role was at Wigan, where he guided them to the League One title and promotion to the Championship at the first time of asking. His time at Wigan was followed by a short spell at Chesterfield where, having been appointed half way through the season, he was not given the resources he had been promised to stop the club being relegated.

Not given the resources must be a :windup

Somebody’s telling porkies:
Club statement 16 Sept 2017 - We find ourselves in a lowly position after providing him with substantial backing in the transfer market," said director Ashley Carson.

Yes but that was the season he crippled us and set us up for losing our league status.

Perhaps the Partick owner forgot to ask him what happened after losing our L1 status

Hopefully the upcoming finacial statement will indicate how well he was backed in our fight to recover or L1 status.

Presumably, given the timing, he's had to step up his efforts to find work as we'll have just finished paying him?

Edit: Also some 'journo' on twitter has tweeted him wishing him all the best, adding he was treated harshly by us and Wigan!

I've had my little say!

Me too.
I cant begrudge anyone a living, but you do wonder who else was on the shortlist before they got to the applications from deluded fans, 10-year olds, cartoon characters etc.

On a positive note, he has managed poor players in a poor league so a perfect fit for Scottish football
