The only realistic option I'd be interested in talking to at all (other than Kev, Evo or Jack + coach) is Chris Powell I think.

I'd take Cotterill but he wouldn't come.

This. He has the experience of this type of situation and will accept no shortcomings from the players, he says it how it is.

Sounds melodramatic but this is the most important managerial appointment in years, if the board want to even try to begin to dispel the notion that they look on us as mugs they will go the extra yard to procure a manager who is experienced in this league and can handle pressure well. If they can go to Uncle Dave to get money to sign O'Grady and to do business on deadline day then they sure as hell can go back again for a decision of such magnitude.

I just pray they don't mug us off again by appointing internally or getting a complete novice in. There is simply too much at stake.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

Someone like Ronnie Moore or Martin Allen that knows how to win at this level.

Next to bottom of the football league, last thing we need is a rookie!

Listening to Gashley, he reckons they will take their time and appoint the right manager with experience who knows this league inside out.
So, that rules out any Kev Davies and Jack Lester appointment

Was/is in the backroom team at spurs, no 1st team experience but a wealth of contacts, and an eye for young up and coming players.

If I've got right man that is?
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
