Returning to the original post - I'm sure Andy Taylor wore the number 9 shirt in 86/87 and a certain Steve Philips came in on loan and played in the No.9 shirt a year later -

If you mean the 85/86 season it was spread around a bit between Phil Walker, Dave Caldwell, Charlie Williamson, Phil Brown, Bob Bloomer, Brian Scrimgeour, Gerry Armstrong & Paul Batty

If you mean the 86/87 season it was predominantly Dave Caldwell with occasional appearances (probably down to suspension!!!) by Brian Scrimgeour, Oliver Bernadeau, Carl Airey, Darren Wood & Andy Taylor.

What it is, is that one of the lads from work got a shirt bought for him which is a 1986 match worn shirt and he was asking who would've worn it. I thought it would've been Caldwell.

There really is no need to go falling out with each other over it. It's not really that important.
