Seems to have been offered another deal by Chelsea but obviously turned it down to join the original CFC

Does that mean we are bigger than Chelsea? :)

Thing he got wrong CFC 😄😄

De Girolamo sounds like he has a bad attitude from what I've heard. If Danny thinks he can turn him around then he maybe worth a punt. Seems to me that a kid who is willing to leave Chelsea to get a chance of first team football is already doing considerably better in the attitude stakes.

Let me get this right , we sign an un proven Chelsea under 21 lad who no one has seen play and it is deemed a great signing and yet talk about signing a Chesterfield lad who has played for Italy up to under 20 level as a massive gamble ?

Yes makes a bit of sense seeing as the local lad seems to have lost his mojo.
God I hate this league.

Really impressed by this signing,Danny has done well so far and I'm feeling confident by the minute that we can finish in the top half this season without a struggle.

lol. Last few seasons we have been out muscled and struggled at set plays, I thought Danny would make us more like the old Brentford side, full of height and physicality. Obviously they don't all have to be big and i haven't really taken that much notice how big the other new signings are but none have jumped out at me to suggest they will address one of our weaknesses etc?

We're comparing a lad released by a league 1 club with a lad who was offered another contract at one of the biggest clubs in the country....you can see why folk might be more keen to see what Mitchell is going to be like.

I consider myself a ridiculously positive person, but that strikes me, at this point in time as a hugely optimistic prediction. For me, you echo the predictions on here at this time last year that we would be stronger than before and challenge for the playoffs. I think I'll wait at least for a couple of pre-season games before even starting to assess our chances.

Looking at that compilation, we won't have to worry about just playing the ball to the lad's feet, he can head as well.
In reality I suspect we are looking at Gboly's proposed replacement.

You'd struggle to look poor on what's essentially a collection of goals but there's some interesting stuff there. All sorts of goals. Look forward to seeing him play.

He can certainly finish, on paper looks a very good signing will be eager to impress, plus it's a big positive for the lads attitude to drop down the leagues and actually play

Perhaps he realised he had no chance of breaking into their first team squad because it's got about 50 players in it

Didn't they have about three dozen pros out on loan last season? Just sign everyone and hope for the best.

I agree. It might be misleading but he doesn't look afraid to get stuck in and be 'brave' where necessary.

Its basically an advert for him so not going to show him miscontrolling the ball etc but as mentioned he seems to be able to play wide or down the middle, decent finisher, quick and pretty robust in terms of getting in there where its likely to hurt. There is one goal where he is pretty much wiped out whilst scoring it!

Maybe he's got 1 or 2 decent mates he can bring with him. Good attitude to have regardless.
Here we go again!
