I'm told the concourse manager
says there were no issues of note on the concourse yesterday and all were supplied with full stock, apart from the normal pie etc order that was cut due to the expected low attendance but there was still a very small amount of waste left over.

Should not believe what you are told. The concourse was thinly populated pre-match and there was no hot food on sale at 15:50. There must’ve been some big appetites

I’m afraid this ‘manager’ is either being economic with the truth or doesn’t know what is going on.

I suppose if their definition of ‘no issues’ is that there are no queues because there is no food to sell and hence no waste, then there was ‘no issue’ as far as he/she are concerned.

As I said pure genius

I'm surprised we're still offering anything for sale. Won't be long before they shutter the concourses up for good, stick a few vending machines in and charge burger vans a few quid to peddle their wares in the car park.

Y'mean like the Norton Lea who sub-contracted Saltergate snap selling then complained he was making nowt?

And to think doing the new place's catering was the reason Allen was first approached...

I reckon we are close to that stage now. At the start of the season when the concourses were busier they often had only two hatches open and massive queues still there at 2nd half kickoff - people gave up and hence they probably did have waste. Now they under stock and the food runs out. The natural progression will people will go not expecting to get anything to eat and make other arrangements. I think that is when we reach your scenario although that would still require someone who knows how to stock a vending machine.

Come the resurrection we can start again. Halloumi fries, goat cheese salads and artisan burgers. I can't wait.

He spends most of his time watching the match from the end tunnel in the west stand. You’d think he’d be busy on match day

I think you're thinking of the events manager, who was in the U.S. Yesterday.

Made my wait in the queue for a half time pints less than 2 minutes yesterday as opposed the usual 10 minutes, as only about 4 people queuing - cheers Beano!

Is it true what I have been told that Debbie has been banned from singing "happy birthday" in SBK lounge?
