Good to know, I hope he's not expecting to immediately get in the starting line up though

Why we are crying out for pace up front.

So, if you started with him, what would be your front two?

Don't think he deserves it after seemingly spending the entirety of his recovery period at Norwich

so he is a young lad who cant play but you think he should spend his time at CFC rather than getting the best treatment possible at his premiership club? And its a what 3 to 4 hour drive from Norwich to Chesterfield, you would have him doing that regularly?

I'm hoping that he really wants to play and when he does get hear he makes a name for himself. We certainly need some quality. Can he play wide left or is he an out and out striker?

Converted from a winger to striker apparently, favours his right foot from the little I've seen of him

If hes scoring goals as a central striker should he be pushed out wide, like the error Shez made with Boden, or be given part of a game (initially as sub) in his preferred position?

It seems from Saturdays improved performance that the front 2 to start have to be Denton plus one other and that's Boden atm. But one or both could be subbed if desired with Fondop and Spyrou on the bench. If we sign Nepo we have natural wide players on each flank. If we sign a good CM we may have the option to create attacks through midfield instead of simply playing long off Denton, and in that scenario starting with 2 of the other 3 up top.

I saw him at Matlock and against the Blades pre season and he looked fast, sharp, skilful, direct and useful. I think he would be quite troublesome in this league running at defenders with his pace and skill. But the question is .... He has to want to come and play for us and his heart has to be in it 100% (even though we accept it is only on loan). If he has the mentality of just being a backfill whilst he returns to Norwich that will reflect on his performances on the pitch. "Spireite Spyrou" even for one season could prove beneficial to us .... providing he is in the zone and right frame of mind.

Boden and Dents - Spyrou in the hole. Pre season we saw Spyrou turn his man and leave em for dead. Manderville, Spyrou, the lad from Penistone and McKay all linked very well with fast counter attack.

Extremely harsh to drop Fondop, seeing how he's coming in and scored at nearly a ratio of 1:1.
But it worked as we got the win.

Who'd be a football manager!

Sheridan dropped some very heavy hints, i.e. that he was brought back 10 days sooner then was desirable and he also mentioned the artificial pitch

I’d say he won’t start and Fondop will take his place

Yes, JS said he wouldn't play Denton on that pitch, so a straight swap for Fondop seems the obvious solution.

In the latter stages of his recovery I would have liked to see him up here bonding with his team mates and watching us in action

I asked on here last week if anyone had seen him and didn't get a repky, this is on top of Sheridan saying he's remained in Norwich whilst injured and then ill
