Basically it all boils down to the fact that we are at the beck and call of our masters at the Blunts as to whether Brooks comes her or not

Certainly I will be amazed if he is allowed to come on the season long deal that was supposodly agreed as part of the Evans deal due to his impact at the Toulon tournamant

Think the lad is still on his break having only just finished playing a couple of weeks ago... Don't think Sheff Utd have started back yet for pre season so until he reports in gets the necessary checks done and he's physically ok and the medical team pass him fit then the necessary paperwork can't even be drawn up to loan him over to us. I'm sure as soon as this is done probably over the next couple of weeks he will be with us. I'm sure we must be aware of the situation hence the delay in waiting for Sheff U to get it sorted.

But fully expected in light of the last couple of years, I still think there's more to the deal not being announced than holidays etc, maybe time will tell if I'm a miserable sod or not.

It makes you wonder what the possible explain could be. If the deal is signed, I cannot think of one. If it isn't then they could be hanging on fort a better offer. Who knows.

I don't get why it wasn't announced when the Ched deal was and share your concerns.

I can understand him not reporting for duty yet though given his international commitments.

I'm certain that if this was part of the Ched deal, and in black and white, it would have been announced long ago, for what it's worth, in my own anti AC, DA stance etc then this was agreed, pre the U20 tournament, in principal only, and due to his performances there both Sheffield Utd and the lad himself are thinking....erm where is he/am I going on loan next season...Chesterfield....let's have a re think!
