The only thing I would say on this is that DA will not part with the club until he has received all the money that he is owed

I can never see him recovering his share capital which I believe was £4m at the time. The club is effectively insolvent. His best situation, in my opinion, is someone agreeing to buy the club for a nominal fee (£1) and taking on the existing debt which will see DA be repaid with interest for a large chunk of his investment.

Given the financial situation at the club I'd also expect any buyer to push for DA to write off some of the existing debt as part the sale but, like you, I can't see him agreeing to this.

He must have an end game/strategy.

Call me 'Cynic', but my present thoughts amount to...
'The more ridiculous DA's asking price is, the more I fear us being sold to shady characters'

I recall, paraphrasing, CT's statement at the Fans Forum. When asked why he had a reputation for mixing with shady characters, he replied 'don't you lot want investment?'
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

That just about sums him up - everyone that's been brought to the club runs rings round him.
God I hate this league.

We are screwed as long as the current lot are in charge. Apparently they want minimum 15 mill to sell. I wonder why Allen doesn't want to sell??? Apparently there are buyers. Perhaps Chris Turner in charge of negotiating lol

In thinking of Pompey, being sold to crooks who take the pound of flesh before selling to another crook etc etc. Crooks might not be too bothered about the books and ask few questions as well. This might well end up making Darren Brown look like a kids party

Sounds absolutely scandalous. Surely it can be stopped.

Thanks Moondog. That has to be one of the most relevant posts pertinent to our future, showing the both the dearth of suitable owners, and also proving it remains impossible to carry out checks to prove fitness for club ownership, and even if they are passed, whether the club will run on a sustainable basis going forward.

Thing is, there is hardly a club untouched by unscrupulous owners (or grossly incompetent ones) at some time or other in their history, and yet no solution is offered.

It would be interesting to know if any of those people and dates overlap the Doyle transfer, purely so we could have a scientific discussion about coincidence theory.

Had he done that here, he could have expected a sentence of three months' wages and the use of a company car.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.
