They were cynical, ugly and tedious when they played us and yet they're third in the league. We're languishing in mid table looking down rather than up. Is there no justice in this world?

Hard to beat, hard to score against and capable of nicking a goal. A bit like Johnny No Goals with some tinsel and a couple of baubles.
A new hope.

More than one way to win a game as Cook is trying to learn. They won't stay there anyway.

You could add we gave the Blunts a football lesson, totally dominated Rochdale, took Bristol to the last minute, came from 3 down against Preston but, guess what, they are all higher up the league than us.

Why did the wheels come off last October and why have they come off again this October - and it is not because teams have been setting up to defend against us which was PC's excuse last season.

It took 'til October last season for teams to learn how to play against us, I think PC has this in mind and wants to be one jump ahead this season, be it right or wrong time will tell
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Agreed and they were even a threat at the other end when they were under the cosh 2nd half

Even so I'd be amazed if they stay in third

I agree. My neighbour is a big County fan, and just before we played them. He said they were boring to watch and along with many others said it was hard to keep watching. Good defence but no goals. Then suddenly something clicks, a couple of loan players a few goals and here we are. Their solid defence has kicked them off and Shaun Derry seems to have built a good team spirit. Will be interesting to see what they do in their next 10.

I have a family member who is a big Notts fan and he said exactly the same before we played them. They were a team of bully boys that put their foot in and were awful to watch. I have to say that the first 20 mins at our place, as bad as we were, I thought they looked very good going forward and should have been 2 or 3 up. Reason they are third......don't concede daft goals and are solid defensively throughout the spine of their side. You don't necessarily need a 20 goal striker when you don't concede. Something along the lines of what PC spoke about in the week.
