Has Norton Blue accepted that Doyle's goal scoring has stopped yet?

The team's goal scoring has stopped never mind Doyle's!
IF Doyle’s hadn't bothered scoring this season like the rest of the team we'd be comfortably sitting bottom of the league now, so maybe you to should get off Doyle's back a bit.

PS, I see we didn't win when Roberts plays like you also keep banging on about (yes he played very well, so did Johnson when he played), but winning when he plays has nothing to do with anything, in the same way that we didn't win many when Johnson played did. Too many variables in a team game to make it anything like what you keep implying.

Sorry if it seems like bit of a go at you, but you do appear to have issues with Doyle when Doyle is the only one that is finding the net this season and for me that’s hardly fair.

It's not Doyle I have a problem with, it's expecting Doyle to carry the scoring all season. I think we actually agree more than you think. I was jumped on for saying that Doyle wouldn't keep scoring at that rate all season. I would still rather sell Doyle than Morsy, which was my point in the first place in this thread.

I think we need to get over Johnson. Like a modern day Donal McDermott, he's gone and won't be coming back.

And we looked more like scoring yesterday with Roberts back in the team than we have with him out of it.

When Robbo is on song things begin to happen for the better, we still need a strike partner for Doyle Clucas is not the man.We have started to play some good stuff again we've got to learn to shoot on sight whenever possible.

  • I agree with your first line and our midfielders have to start to find the net more regularly.
  • Your second line about Doyle not being able to keep that rate up all season is an obvious one.
  • And I would rather see Doyle than Morsy (though for me Sam has much more value, so it depends on the bids).
  • I agree that I think it's very unlikely that Johnson will be coming back, though my point was more of us not winning too many games when he played and it wouldn't have mattered if he or Roberts had played, the games won would probably still be the same).
  • And your last point about yesterday I'd like to point out we were only playing the leagues bottom club and we still drew a blank. Again my point about Johnson was that we regularly scored plenty of goals while he was in the side, but conceding them at the other end resulted in less wins than we should have had while he played.

So it seems we do agree more than I think ;)

Crewe have been a lot better of recent though, especially defensively, I'm hoping it's a better point than the table would have us believe .... :)

Fingers crossed, though it's not just Crewe we've been struggling to score against.
