However if the guy who says they won't be spending big for a while is right then there's no way they are getting him, dig deep Russell!

Edit: are we gonna wipe out 50% of our debt off come January? It's certainly gonna be an interesting transfer window. But for the record, I want neither morsy or Doyle to go, even for £2 million each

I think there will be some very disappointed people when we sell him. We'll probably accept an offer similar in size to that in the cooper deal.
Johnson goes back December, Morsy will probably go January and suddenly we might start to struggle. We need to get near that 50 points sooner rather than later

If Cooper went for £800k into the last year of his deal, and he was a defender, I would expect Morsy, as a midfielder with another year after this left, to be looking at around £1.5 million, maybe a lot depends on Cooks idea of realistic replacements and their availability..did he let slip in a recent interview with peak that he had targets? Also prices tend to get inflated around January. If we did sell him I would expect the fee to be more £1.5 million than £1 million.

I'm half of the opinion there is nothing in this as it seems early for a Jan window rumour and there isnt a lot on the thread to substantiate it the last time i read it short of a mate telling someone they're interested in him.

What gives the rumour legs is Slade who will know about Morsy, he'd need to be planning now for a budgeted January transfer spree
