I believe, once upon a time, the Club owned a number of houses on Saltergate backing on to the main stand.

St Margaret’s Drive if they were.

They didn't back onto the main stand being on Compton Street (Jimmy Smallwoods residence may have been the last to be sold). However if memory serves there was talk of purchasing a property on St Margarets Drive to turn into a 'hospitality!!!' area.

Think it was the one on the corner with Cross St, Mick. Plan was to turn it into some sort of posh-assed lounge for visiting oficials/folk prepared to pay with a covered walkway between there and the main stand.

Just one of several Saltergate schemes that never materualised.

On the subject of Tapton lodgings, rumour has it a member of Cook's entourage lived in one rented by the Club up there. Or at least he was supposed to, because that same rumour suggests anyone knocking on the door would've encountered a 'third party' as the bloke in question was shacked up with a girlfriend elsewhere.

But hey, I'm sure any such subletting was all in the open and no one was pocketing owt at Town's expense...

Apart from Rhys Williams, last season, to Pembo at Kidderminster 🤪

Looks like his performance against Arsenal has caused a bit of a stir amongst liverpool fans:

You’d imagine news of VVD being out for the season and Rhys making his England U21 debut last week would mean he’ll definitely not be heading here, if he is sent out on loan.

Well said.

I would like to think they manage their own finances differently, but I doubt it.
