'Following the National League’s decision to relax the rules on live streaming while supporters are unable to attend matches, it will be possible to watch the action online on a pay-per-view basis.

The streaming will be delivered by the home club, who keep the revenue generated.

Wealdstone will be providing a live stream of the opening game of the season next weekend and a link to the paywall will be put on our website in due course.

We will provide live streaming of our home games, starting with the fixture against Hartlepool United, a week on Tuesday'.

No signs of any pricing or further detail yet but a start.

It's probably a bit early to ask this but does "streaming" only mean you can watch it on a tablet, pic, phone etc or can u watch on an internet connected TV.?

Connect to?

It just means it'll be online. You'll be able to watch on any device up to the task.

Depending on what the tele is you can cast it from your device onto the big screen. Or if you have a Chromecast you can send it to that.
It takes some setting up for a non techie but it can be done.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

You’ve got a debit card though? That will be fine. And an email address presumably or the fact you’re posting here is going to confuse if not?

What have you got? iPad? Laptop?

You should be fine but there are plenty of tech savvy people on here (not me!) should you need help when it comes around.

Yep. At least all teething problems should be at Wealdstone's expense and we'll be running like a Rolls Royce engine by Tuesday.

I'd be interested to read the NL's relaxation ruling. My understanding was that some NL teams don't have the infrastructure for this, so they'd be at a disadvantage and are unlikely to have supported it.

Good news but one potential problem - will there be a standard price or will clubs pick and choose?

Because if so I can see visits by ourselves, Notts and Wrexham suddenly becomming 'premium' games at many places...

All we need to do now, is to market the hell out of this new service to maximise the appeal & pull for a new way of supporters watching their team.

If we get a third of our average attendance to stream, it would be a good start......if we start off well then it should increase.

An easy setup guide would be great to those who are new to a streaming world....make that easy & it will encourage more people to use it.

No reason to think the league will have anything to do with it.

Sounds like it is down to the club and hopefully no third party to skim a percentage of the revenue

Wonder if they'll be commentary or an attempt to synch the dulced tones of Elastic FM
