Is there an income opportunity here for the club to show the live streaming in the lounges and sell tickets for fans to attend and include food. Possibly for home games as well with the curtains shut.
Wealdstone are selling 60 tickets for their social club at £10 each to include a free pint but state the curtains will be shut

I couldn't think of owt more frustrating football wise (elleray excepted) than sitting in a confined room watching your team on tv with said room blanked from the action by a bleeding curtain in what is an airy stadium, knowing full well at our level it is a result of an inconceived box ticking exercise
Derbyshire is Derbyshire

This.

Yep. I'd like to see Andy Fantom write a heroic target income figure on a piece of paper, stick it on the end of a sharp stick, and deposit it up Carson's jacksey when we beat it.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Clarification needed. When I watch the live stream will I still have to wear a mask? Can I go to the bog at half time or do I have to wait until the end? Equally, I assume I won't be able to shout at the screen, nor will I be able to sing 'We hate Mansfield' etc. Dam this Covid!

Do it early because everyone will have different advice lol.
Warfey would be a good bet for down to earth advice.

Yes you can do all of that as long as you wash your hands at least 10 times 😀

Will the club be able to sell lounge packages for the home games, keeping the curtains closed, and streaming the games on the big screen??

Apologies if already asked not read the thread.

'Following the National League's decision to relax the rules on live streaming while supporters are unable to attend matches, it will be possible to watch the action online on a pay-per-view basis.

The streaming will be delivered by the home club, who keep the revenue generated.

Wealdstone will be providing a live stream of the opening game of the season next weekend and a link to the paywall will be put on our website in due course.

We will provide live streaming of our home games, starting with the fixture against Hartlepool United, a week on Tuesday'.

No signs of any pricing or further detail yet but a start.

This might work well for us you know. If the club market this properly to the wider chesterfield public the may well be many lapsed/casual fans who might not normally attend games be willing to watch from the comfort of their sofa.
A new hope.

Until they realise how dire it is. Imagine if you’d not been since 2014 and you tuned in expecting to see something akin to Gary Roberts and then you see super Jack McKay strutting his stuff

I don’t watch much live football on TV, only when it’s Town, away, I’m at the home games. The crowd plays a big a part in watching the match on TV as it does live. I can’t imagine watching a live stream of a game in an empty stadium being at all thrilling, especially with our current squad. So whilst I’m pleased this is being done unless the product on display is top quality I’d imagine it would be like watching live paint drying. In which case I can’t see many returning customers, maybe the real diehards but even then?

This needs to be a show of unity by CFC supporters everywhere to get this club turned round. The quality of the football is secondary.
