Every team - even at Guisley's level has a "threat". We have none. Disappointing pre-season for me and signings "better the devil you know" says Pemberton. Indeed. the attack sounds poor. Sort it please.

Surely this is just some sort of semi tempo warm-up with a mix of reserves and first team...isn't it?

Not really, it sounds line typical preseason game with the entire squad getting a go.

On a typical preseason the final game normally resembles the team we are starting the season with. Very worried about the preseason preparation although not all of it is our fault.

As I've said previously I cannot understand sticking with the defence from last season. I would not have given Hollis a new deal, benched Evans and brought 2 decent Central Defenders in. If they don't score we should at least get a draw and a point.

3 5 2 by the sound of it. Never work with that defence.

i'm not convinced that any system will work with evans, yarney and hollis in the starting line up, just not a combo that seems to click

We’re going to be in serious trouble this season.

You lot know better than me.

But despite last season's turnaround it seemed strange that so many members of a failed squad were retained.

Pemberton also appeared to fill glaring gaps with the proverbial pegs whilst you'd think someone with his background would have some sort of network.

Either way he's made a rod for his own back should results go wrong...

It’s less to do with the combo clicking, more to do with them all being rubbish.

The phrases in the twitter feed are haunting
“Evans loses the ball”
“ no Spireite player there to meet the ball”

We struggled to beat Belper 3-2 who then lost 7-0 to Buxton in the FA Cup

I am sure I am not alone with worry for the season ahead with the current squad
I really hope I can be proved wrong
Have passport will travel

I think he was conned by the turnaround last season in the same way Sheridan was conned the season before

He as got better balance, trouble he’s still got no creativity, no flare, no pace and cardboard cutouts for central defenders

The whole thing sounds embarrassing. When we play the likes of .... er Solihull, we'll get absolutely mauled. Why the * haven't we got someone wide like everyone else?

Evans wants releasing along with most of the squad.
