Hearing rumours that a player has been tested positive. Don't know who.
Apparently all players are now in isolation.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

It would be interesting to know if it was one of those who was walking through the departing crowd after (all the sensible precautions taken at) the Belper match.
These go to eleven.

Definitely not.

I'm very surprised that Wealdstone seem to be wanting Chesterfield fans to travel to the game given the potential repercussions.

I don’t think they are. I phoned them today (there’s a mobile number on their site as the stadium contact number! - my how we have fallen!) spoke to a cockney geezer who sounded like he was probably speaking from his living room. He basically said no option to buy any tickets at the moment as they just didn’t know what was going to happen.

By this I assume he meant that the game would even be going ahead?

Worrying times for football, and life for that matter, as we know it. Thouroughly fed up with the whole thing tbh

That's why the Matlock game was postponed but it was reported by the club and DT as a backroom staff member

Someone stated that Wealdstone had been in touch to ask how many tickets we were likely to need or words to that effect.

As I understand it ,Wealdstone will have a max attendance of 1000 and like ourselves will not be selling tickets to away fans.
We are hoping for a max home attendance allowance of 3500 - again home fans only.

I see no evidence on the clubs website, twitter or forum to suggest they are any further ahead with plans than us.

We’ve been talking about releasing ticketing and match day information for a few weeks now

Again as I understand it Wealdstone did contact CFC to see how away fans would likely want to travel......before they realised the likely attendance their local safety office would allow.

There's only one plausible answer - stream games for a modest fee.

Better still, show them in the lounges to a socially distanced crowd.

We'd at least have the sense of a communal event whilst the Trust'd get summat through the tills.

Knew I'd not imagined it. So Wealdstone definitely were considering away fans even if not now.

Good plan at CFC but complicated by the fact that some of our opponents can't provide a service and I hear there's even one whose Chairman will not currently allow his team's away matches to be streamed.
It would be a pity if this option can't be invoked 'cos it would give our community the opportunity to really back the new Board and stick two fingers up at the old one.
Who do we have in the ranks capable of leading an initiative at a NL Executive meeting?

In the event of a no crowd situation could we stream home games? I'd certainly be up for it. There's even the possibility of a few hundred watching a game happening on the other side of the lounge curtains on screens in there. Bizarre, but like, say, families being prevented from meeting whilst grouse shooting's conveniently allowed bizarre seems to be the new normal...

Away matches? It's not Borehamwood is it?

The good news is he shouldn't get a say in it.

Any initiative would surely have to get NL executive agreement with unanimous buy in? You couldn't have the provision at one club but not another could you?

Live streaming of matches for a fee would be a great idea, something needs to be done as we are not going to return to "normal" for at least 12 months. Smaller lower league clubs desperately need an income stream or they will surely go into administration. As a matter of interest if we were allowed into home games but we had to wear a mask would that put anyone off going ?.
I think the trialing of fans being allowed in to games is starting this weekend, if this is the case does anyone know what restrictions are in place for these games ?
