The Trust has said live screening is being considered at a higher level, presumably the NL.

It would require BT agreement anyway as they have the rights to highlights and presumably a say in what is streamed live. I can't see them objecting and in the end they shouldn'r. Last season highlights weren't even shown unless there was a live game being televised, in which case thet were shown ay 19:30 after the game.

Does anyone know whose equipment the club uses, I'm sure I remember Marcia saying the club uses BT equipment and are trained up but my memory may be playing tricks

Wonder what the uptake would be? Five hundred at £7.50 a game plus the lounge idea? The lower leagues are charging £10 on a per game basis, wonder what their takeup is?

Any initiative would surely have to get NL executive agreement with unanimous buy in? You couldn't have the provision at one club but not another could you?

I don’t see why it should need to be unanimous. A majority would suffice surely, not that I can see why anyone might have an issue with it.

In the EFL I believe the home club gets share of the away clubs revenue from match passes. I don't see any home club turning that down in theses circumstances

There may be some clubs who don't currently have the enabling infrastructure and can't afford the outlay to get the service up and running. There again, there may not.

Knew I'd not imagined it. So Wealdstone definitely were considering away fans even if not now.

Was a question asked last week definitely. They said they had Wealdstone contact them via email as soon as the fixtures came out asking how many tickets we’d require.

Fixture Congestion

Have the FA ruled or is it Orient’s decision because they can’t field a Covid free team?

Haven’t they just found out because EPL clubs are mandated to have tests and EFL clubs aren’t and Spurs paid them to have them. Just shows how untenable lower league football is, in these times.

Wonder if Mansfield will need tests now

That's not been confirmed has it?

Nothing on Spurs twitter and only a previous statement from Orient.

Not as far as I can see, it’s on TV so surely they’d field kids if they are allowed.

Maybe Spurs will compensate them not to play, that would be a first

The new National League season will not start on 3 October if fans are not able to attend, BBC Sport understands.

I can just see the lights being switched off permanently at loads of clubs up and down the country.

How can they allow you to go to a pub and not a socially distanced football stadium. Total madness.

Maybe with the combination of the government considering the German model of wage subsidy, streaming and goodwill from fan bases might just allow lower league clubs to survive for a season.

What would help even more would allow 1000+ into a lower league grounds. I’m not sure the general public realises 600 are allowed to gather at far more cramped, so called recreational venues. That situation is just inexcusable and I guess that’ll change if things get much worse.

For most clubs I'm sure opening the doors to be Covid 'safe' for 10% of their stadium capacity would cost more than playing with nobody.

Our notional 3500 capacity would have required a decent level of occupancy to be viable. If it was 1000 or even 1500 I don't think it would be worth the hassle.

Some of the clubs at our level were looking at those kind of figures so I guess it was economical for them without any additional help from outside sources (and our banqueting capacity)

I think our 3500 was us just flying a kite
