Given this competition appears to becoming farcical at the moment these are my suggestions on how it could be improved.

The winners qualify for the Europa league (my only hope of seeing Chesterfield play in Europe)
Invite Scottish( below prem) Welsh and Irish teams to take part. Have early regional group games which will make for some better pre season games then a few regional knockout rounds then final 16 from all regions drawn out of a hat, take turns with final at Wembley, Cardiff, Hampden
No offsides
Any thoughts or ideas from anyone, apart from scrapping it

Ive always thought the idea of jpt winners to qualify for europa lge is a good idea, also winners of championship as an incentive to win the league.
Its not just the jpt, have you seen the scottish challenge cups new format?
Its a right farce

We've only so many Europa league spots so you need the fa to take one from elsewhere and not sure prem clubs will be keen. FIFA regulations prevent teams outside the English fa competing in an English comp.

Quite right, if Prem clubs not interested in taking part give a place to a lower league club who would be interested

THE MOST SENSIBLE THING WOULD BE TO SCRAP IT - clubs cannot make money out of it unless you reach Wembley. It only increases the risk of injury as they dictate you play a quantity of regular first teamers and this can only have a detrimental effect when in season loans are not available.

God I hate this league.

Is this even going ahead though with the youth teams? Thought they all rejected the invites. Has it even been drawn yet?

Congratulations to the EFL the season has not yet started under your new name and you've already succeeded in terminating a competion that has run for 35 years.

Match day squad to be assigned by random ballot from people within a 5 mile radius of the two teams grounds. Mandatory. Like jury service.

Do away with offside.

No fouls to be awarded in the last 5 minutes of the game.

I thought about this last night. Would have to be played on the park - use all of the park aswell.

2 teams on 1, for example Chesterfield and port Vale vs Stoke youth.

No cards or sending offs.

Head height rule like 5 a side.

American style penalty shootouts should it be a draw (does anyone still do these?) but keepers to be handcuffed.
Here we go again!
