In the hope that AC reads this board, I have started this thread for fans to suggest ideas on what the board can do to try and get the fans back on side

I will start with

1/ only charge £3 to get into the Leicester game and give out a voucher for a free drink at the first home game
2/ Announce that CT has left the club to take up a different challenge in his career
3/ Allow Danny a few more signings
4/ Announce that there will be a pre season trip abroad very early and confirm that fans will be invited to be part of a sensibly priced club organised trip with maximum numbers on a first come first served basis

Please add your thoughts and ideas, try your best to keep them clean and sensible

Their only chance is a clear the air open forum which goes well for them. Even then, the chance of things going well are slim.

The Leicester idea is a good one. Can see a very poor embarrassing turnout if they don't do something.

Turner has quite simply become a poisoned chalice at the club. The first stepfor any bridges to be built is that he has to go. He's as good as a dead man walking

Communicate with us. I dont mean tell us every single detail about all incomings/outgoings but just to explain to us that all might not be as bad as things look. And stop this PPP controversy taking over the headlines of the local rags. And lift the ban of the local paper aswell.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Some of that is peripheral stuff though.

1) From day one, the business model has struggled to deliver the chairman's objectives (profitability & debt reduction), why? After 7 years of ownership, why has the chairman not addressed this fundamental issue?

2) Why did the owner appoint a CEO with no business experience, knowledge or professional qualifications and expect him to perform better than those running the club previously?

3) Why has the owner and company secretary continued to support & employ the CEO?

Until we acknowledge and understand those points, the other stuff just doesn't matter I'm afraid.

 Be professional, run the club as it should be run.Don't set targets that are unacheivable without putting into place stratagies that will work.Embrace the fans rather than alienate them,it's not their fault you've got things wrong.Don't look for scapegoats look at yourselves.Be honest.Act before it's too late, matters are worse than you think. If you can't achieve that, get DA to sell at a knockdown price and give someone else a go.

Let's face it, number 2 ain't gonna happen. However the other 3 are sensible and reasonable strategies for improved relations.

To win the fans back?

Be honest
Work as a board and allow ALL directors to speak, put in their opinions, suggestions and advice
Work as 1 for the benefit of CFC
Set a budget
Work within a budget
Make more cutbacks if the revenue does not match the outgoings and decrease debt
If they want to appear to be totally transparent, co-opt 2 fans to the board who can listen only until the fans are convinced we are not being lied to (and I don't mean the current fans directors, Phil Taylor & John Croot)

The current board is fragmented and has an us and them situation where the largest shareholder is running the club on his own with a selective few

Before any of this, they need to give a public and genuine apology for the way they have treated fans and run the club over the last 18 months. Because if there's no honesty and acceptance from them that there attitude and performance during this time has been nothing short of disastrous, there's no moving forward.

1. CT must be removed from his position as CEO.
2. DA has to start treating Employees/Shareholders/Fans with respect and refrain from his threatening behavior/comments such as "if you've got £8 mil buy me out".
3. More Transparency from within the club.
4. Employ fully qualified individuals in roles appointed.
5. No more lies and deceit.
Onwards & Upwards!

There is only one course of action to start any healing process - you simply start by sacking Chris Turner.

You cannot ask fans to bury the hatchet so to pleak, it simply will not sit right whilst such a figure of hate remains in position.

God I hate this league.

In addition to the points raised for me it's key that we employ from the fan base a "proper" supporter laision officer, with a proven love for the club who is committed to proactively build the bridge between club and the full range of its fans.

Incredibly until recently we had one with the job title, Wendy Perkins but the club never promoted her role and equally concerning she didn't promote it herself, in fact I'd say hardly anybody had heard of her, I hadnt, which sums up the clubs attitude to fan relations.

I understand Wendy left recently and hasn't been replaced.

The club can't afford to play lip service to such a role, as indicated by how it was presented when the role was first created in 2012 ie it was brought in just because of a UEFA directive.

http://mobile.cheste...cer-483891.aspx

The CEO stated at the time "a successful club has to have excellent two way dialogue between itself and its supporters at all times and whilst we have respect that opinions on all matters will vary from time to time it is important to listen to each other more closely and find that common ground."

The club is now seeing the results of it's total failure to implement the UEFA directive, that was common sense in any event.

Football is unique in the fans are not just consumers of a product, they are the key part of it, if the club doesn't realise this I fear for its future.

Sorry Simon but **** any apology, no one would believe it was sincere. Get Chris Turner out and put someone in charge who has a modicum of business accumen.

Actions speak louder than words and until this nest of cronnies is dismantled it will remain us and them.
