Nothing wrong with O Shea, he played well for us last season and knocked some lovely goals in.

His best position is in the hole behind striker, but this clown of a manager can't seem to get the best out of him.

Agree, but hes not scored since August and I think is being overplayed and needs to freshen up.

I would probably put Ariyibi in for a few games mow.

O'Shea is hit and miss, was last year under Cook that is why he only started 27 games and hardly ever finished them. This clown of a manager seems to have much more faith in him than Cook and maybe that's one reason things are going wrong

More faith or just less choice?

The problem with that is, if a player is under contract, it would cost us money to get rid (unless someone is prepared to pay us, take them on loan or take over their contract). This would lessen the budget further.

Oshea was the only one last night who was all over the pitch willingly accepting the ball and trying to create.

I wasn't at the game but it sounded from Walker and Reevesy on radio sheffield like we had chances to change its outcome and missed them. When that happens we need to defend well as a team and get a 0-0. RS guy said 3-0 flattered Donny but at the end of the day it's an emphatic victory for them.

I`m worried by how many times we have conceded 3 goals.
A new hope.

Is it 6 times in the league, so far.

Another defeat on Saturday would make it four on the bounce and a very very poor November.

appearance clause rather than a performance clause then because if it was a performance clause he'd certainly not be getting a new deal with his 55 yard first touches

lol

reminds me of the old saying "his second touch is always a tackle!!"

There was a reason cookie used him sparingly. ....he only has a good game every now and again.....he is a luxury we can't afford for the rest of the time....as for gardner he is just not upto the challenge fullstop.....and the rest of saunders signing just do not work in the ahem 'system' he chooses to play.....on paper we have some quality. ...what we need now is a manager capable of getting the best from them

To his credit, he's not one to hide. After a very bright start to the season though, his output has dried up. Why on earth he didn't shoot on his highlighted chance only he knows.

I have a feeling he is working to instructions. Bad ones by the look of it.

I am sure no manager would instruct a player not to shoot when he has the ball at his feet six yards out.

Presumably with the intention of signing replacement forwards?

Not sure about your definition of sparingly.
He started 32 League and cup games, and only failed to make an appearance in 9 games in a 56 game season. I would, say that is an integral part of our season's squad. Many a good striker, for example, only plays 70 minutes a match.
