We must have some of the most docile shareholders in the country then. Can't imagine the same happening at sheff u if they had an agm tomorrow

I stood up and asked two questions which I wanted to ask, at that point Saunders had spoken well, and to a point , like I said earlier I warmed to him slightly. That doesn't go to say I'd been entirely happy with what I'd seen this season. If and its a big if, that the age had been tonight, after yet another performance like that then the questions might have been different. But I can assure you id stand up and ask any question I felt relevant. But in a correct and proper manner. It's easy to say you should have said this, you should have asked that, but it has to be done in the correct manner or you will not solicit an answer.

DA has clearly said this week that he likes Saunders, so the chance of him being sacked is zero. He is quite happy to let him take us into division 2 probably because in his eyes it's cheaper there
and can pay less wages. However, if he thinks the fan base will still be here he is sadly mistaken, because I for one won't be paying three hundred odd quid to watch that.

At last, a bit of rationality after all the Saunders out rants. Of course you are right - I said the same a couple of weeks ago. DA is not a fan and doesn't think like a fan, he's a businessman and thinks like a businessman. He can put up with lower attendances in L2 if he has less to pay out in wages. As I also said, it might even be the case that we start well in L2 and attendances will pick up rather than the decline we're seeing as we struggle in L1.

Sorry mate I don't agree. The benefits of L1, the gates from more high profile games, extra TV revenue, higher profile far outweigh a 20% wage bill cut and maybe a successful season. If we get relegated, reduce the wage bill AND keep Saunders in charge I do fear for the long term future of league football..WE NEED TO STAY IN L1... It will be catastrophic if we go down this time, just my thoughts.

DA knows revenues would be higher in the Championship

Well the way it's going at the moment we might get to see if that rationale works, because we're looking very very ropey at the minute.

He also knows costs would be higher, that IMO is why he pulled the plug just when it really looked as if we could really achieve something

Just a hunch but Could DA have given Saunders the job on the understanding that he would not pay him the going rate for a league 1 manager (whatever that is)

because he knew Deanos much publicised after dinner speaking would supplement his salary?

Plus CT has also gone on record to say DS is a very wealthy man so it appears on the surface as though he is doing the job because he wants to not because he has to

If that is the case DA will not pull the plug any time soon because of the definite further costs involved of getting rid so soon

If he did go, who would be so gullible to take the job knowing that they would be on minimum wage.

The problem with that is how they run the business. The bigger the revenue the bigger the losses.

bring a manager of a football league side is a very exclusive club. There would be no shortage of applicants

When loyal fans are questioning whether they are prepared to pay to watch this tripe served up by Saunders and the attendance drops two thousand below break even then Mr Allen will have no one to blame but himself

I just wish there was something practical we could do to show DA our strength of feeling instead of just being keyboard moaners.

We always have the ultimate weapon - vote with your feet. I've seen only a couple of games this season and giving it a swerve is much easier than you think. The Yorkshire Pudding deserves nowt better.

One thing a yorkshireman takes notice of is his wallet. Been to 3 this season. Knocked back a free ticket t'other week.

We're in the brown stuff mate....clinging on to any little hope of a change to what were bring served up....away form is starting to fall away...we have no home form as such...players look devoid of any motivation or drive....god knows what we practise on training cos it ain't showing itself on the pitch....my half full glass of optimism is empty...I will be there as always Saturday but I'm not expecting any change.....who knows maybe I may be shocked come 4.50 but somehow I doubt it.
