Get Lavery in and Terminate H's contract by mutual consent. He'll never get a game here

Think Lavery would cost us more than the £10k we paid for Harrison, then there is the wages which Cookie once mentioned in regard to signing Lavery perm.Take him on loan without a doubt,is there any more cash available to Deano ? that's the question.

Didnt they make a few signings back end of last week...were they on the basis they were selling Butterfield?

Yes I think they did,Powell may still want to add to that, told Huddersfield have watched Morsy along with several other Championship sides, don't know if anything will come of it.

Doubtful that we will sign anyone today. Loan market opens up again in a weeks time anyway so no rush for a loan player.

Be massively disappointed if Morsy goes (not surprised though) Think we may have brought O'Neil in as his replacement.

My favourite transfer deadline day incident was when the Sky reporter was attacked by the purple sex toy.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

I suspect there'll be massive disappointment in the boardroom if he doesn't...

Wonder if there is any significance in Richie Wellens wanting a move from Donny? Didn't Saunders take him back there for a second spell?

But then, we are shopping in M&S now and not hunting in the dustbins at the back of Lidl. Harrison was an awful signing and has never really featured, nor was he ever likely to.

The Harrison signing for me was on a par with that of Carl Lamb... Very odd.

I wouldn't be at all suprised if we today let HARRISON go on loan or offload him to a league 2 side

If Harrison can't get ahead of one of Mani/Armand he needs to go.

Agreed. He's wasting his own time and ours.

Yeah, for all his 'best manager ever' status, Cookie did make, er, 'eccentric' decisions sometimes.

At least Harrison actually got on the pitch (and scored). There are players in the Chesterfield Sunday League with better pedigree than Lamb.

I'd forgotten about the lamb. A very odd signing indeed!

What would his wages be? Young lad, not broken into the first team... I'd expect if he wanted 1st team football and a real chance to kick off his career then he'd be rather flexible on the wages front.

Would appear the Lavery to Barnsley deal is not happening and never really was....

Understand #barnsleyfc were offered the chance to sign #swfc forward Caolan Lavery but have opted against it.

Is he saying Barnsley have opted against a loan for Lavery, or a purchase, or both?

I stand corrected, i'll rephrase, - been a regular 1st team player.

Averaging around 15 appearances a season over last 2 years since his debut, majority of those as sub. Only sat on the bench once this season and that was the first game.

I read it as both. Barnsley werent keen on a loan deal as they have quite a few already and were apparently told a price of £1m to sign him permanently...how true that is i dont know! I suspect Barnsley had a few plans lined up on the back of their cut of the £40m Stones deal but that appears dead so they've had to reassess their spending!!
