We broke away twice in injury time and in my mind were both a mile offside haha

They were dreadful. Best team won. Morsy MoM. Mani makes Armand look like Pele.

I can't lie, our substitutions didn't half worry me. Not that we had many options. As soon as we have a couple of players out our bench looks so poor.

Cracking win, another clean sheet and another 3 points though. Thats all that matters tonight. Roll on next weekend.

Excellent match commentary on Peak & Spireites Player by local lad Paul Fisher. His local knowledge ensured bags of interest throughout the commentary. Very professional. Well done Paul.

Better commentator than farries who is that excitable you think we're going to score then realise we've got a throw in near our corner flag!

Didn't predict a win today after Millwall had lost there opening three games but great 3points and as results are going can see a very interesting game developing on 26th September and hopefully my first match.

BBC report on today's match has an 'interesting' but factually incorrect opening paragraph

'Jay O'Shea scored either side of half time to extend Millwall's winless run and move Chesterfield into the top six.'

Since when has the 17th and 95th minute been either side of half time? Thought that phrase was restricted to the 40th to 50th minutes of the match!!!!

Fantastic result and a better than expected points tally for September.

Just got in. Had free tickets so went to Derby v Leeds earlier (poor match) and after dropping a child of at the in-laws in Mansfield I listened to the first half en-route to Eckington to watch the lads play cricket. Gave it a big old cheer driving though the dark side when we scored the first and danced a jig around the boundary on news of the second.

Excellent result - Dean Saunders, take a bow - things are going rather well at the moment.

Apparently Saunders is a long ball merchant with a penchant for relegations according to the experts on here.....

Excellent day. Town win, the #BarbyArmy won easily and the kids aren't here so tomorrow I have zero family responsibilities beyond remaining alive.

By all means make a habit of it ...... !

It's 88 points as a final tally on five games in...only five games in but nonetheless ...... Armageddon doesn't appear to be taking place.

He isn't unfamiliar to relegations though is he so that's based on factual evidence at least.

The talk of his style of play was mainly, I believe, taken from online comments from fans of his previous clubs.

And you based your opinions on him from that?

I didn't say it wasn't. But if you look closer at the 'factual evidence' then he wasn't exactly solely to blame was he....
The point I'm making is that there's far too many know it alls and doom mongers on here who quite frankly know sweet FA .... If they did they'd maybe have had a career in football.....like err?.. DS.
If someone came to tell me how to do my job who'd never done it I'd tell them to jog on.
But in football it's apparently ok.
As for his style of play? I've only seen two games but it's certainly not long ball and we're trying to score goals rather than racking up passes.
Good start from DS.
