I don't think FL games should be postponed because of call ups. Clubs have squads and if they employ a lot of foreign players it's entirely their choice, isn't it?

What's employing foreigners got to do with it??

Same rules apply if its English players?!

If we had 4/5 England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales youth players who were playing week in week out for us that got called up. You'd say we should still play the game?

That's a massive 'if'.
These go to eleven.

How many England full internationals in lower leagues?

Odd scenario for a lower league club but Yes.

When we had Rooney and Ward we were 2/3's of the way to getting a game called off for that exact reason. So can't be that odd...

Perhaps 3 players isnt enough then. Maybe it should be 5 before you can apply for a postponement. I am more sympathetic if a player becomes an international while playing for his parent club. If clubs sign "international" players they should bear that in mind and accept/ prepare for the consequences of losing them.

Same rule for players called up for U21s however so would clubs be inclined not to give the better younger players a chance because they'd rather have someone who is available every week?

Suspect there are plenty of clubs in the football league that have players involved with Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and\or their U21 teams as well.

Sure all clubs could weigh up the pros and cons of that. Doubt we would snub u-21 internationals cos we might lose them for a number of games.

Looks like one player missing at least, and a decent one at that.

Craig Davies is a typical sunday league striker.

Certainly not in skill... But hit him hard early on and he isn't interested after that.

Need Evo/Hird to "let him know they're there" early on.

I know a couple of Sunday league strikers if you hit hard early on, you won't be hitting anything for a while after that

Good news!

This lad's grown on me the more I've seen of him, and international recognition can only be a positive for both player and club.

Missing the Wigan game apart, of course...

Yeh, shame about that, hopefully we won't need him.
