If we are going to be paying 400k we need to be getting at least double that for Morsy or whats the point?

He wont be fetching big fee- having been placed on the list by the club. The lad had two years left on his contract, so there may be an element of Boro seeking to recover any cancellation clauses they may have to pay out.

DS must have taken Nurofen this morning
It targets payne fast

If this turns out to be true,What sort of fee are we talking about,Posh paid £700,000 for him so im led to believe,Barry Fry will want a good wedge of that back. Are we really in a position to be offering say around £400,000 on a transfer fee, unless of course DA has told Saunders to use the fee from Sam Morsy's exit.Got a feeling this will be the case, surely there is no-way we are going to spend that type of money, unless a deal involving another one of our top player's in already sorted and awaiting the green light.

Not very likely is it

We could also go for Jack Payne, another young midfielder currently at Southend. Buy one, get one free, I said, buy one get one free.

For those in the know, supposing Payne signs today, by what time does he need to be registered in order to play tomorrow without us getting done for fielding an illegible player?

Not a player that jumps off the page , payne has been on a transfer list for a long time, he wont have been a target.

I'd never heard of him BUT if you go for 700k and captain the side I don't think we can rubbish him before we have seen him in a town shirt. He could be a good signing

there is a simple way round this though, he can be signed on loan and registered anytime up till noon tomorrow (unles the dealines have changed this season)with the transfer paperwork put through on Monday. I can remember us signing Barry Conlon one Saturday morning and him scoring that afternoon!

Still a rumour at the moment as far as I can tell. Looks like it might have some legs though.

Hopefully we've not been taken to the cleaners over a transfer fee. Hopefully there'll be some clarity over the deal soon. Anyone seen him? At 5'9" and around 58kg he's hardly Mr Muscle.
