I think you missed my point.

Tour operators are in it for profit, not for subsidising teachers

Just had a tip off from a mate who's had an email from Kevin Fitzgerald.

CFC are playing a friendly in Europe in July and are giving six fans the chance to travel with the team, play a round of golf, watch the game, etc for the bargain price of £1,700 per person.

No details about the game as yet.

That July word keeps cropping up.
God I hate this league.

The fact that this little tour is pre Matlock makes me think this will be a training game behind closed doors again, hence why the wealthy can pay £1750 to travel and watch the game. Sure we did something similar under Cook but didn't pimp it out

Unless the game is against a combined Real Madrid and Barcelona first team with fine wine and canapés provided free of charge and a night or so at a 5* hotel then I've probably got much better things to spend £1700 on!

Bearing in mind 7 nights all inclusive in 4 star hotel in Crete is only costing £700 for me and the Missus I know which one's the good deal.

If this game is set the club should publicise it and let fans go

If it's in any half decent place then plenty would want to go

Darmstadt would be the obvious choice - went to watch them play at Cologne a few weeks back, their fans were great and bought me beer when I told them I was from Town

Can someone have a go for me please?

Pretty sure it'd get re-drawn if my name came out......Just like the comp Ashley Carson ran on twitter to the fan with the oldest replica kit to carry the match ball out against Bury....

Hope its not the same Tour Operator the DC uses, whoever that is!

There will be plenty for who £1700 (not me I hasten to add) is pocket change. Can't blame the club for maximising revenue.

What was that?

Leading up to the Bury game, Ashley Carson ran a competition on twitter for the oldest replica shirt, the winner got to walk out with the match ball and deliver it to the Ref pre-kick off. The day before, I was 'winning' with my 80/81 Adidas replica, but then the comp disappeared.

I tweeted Ashley and the club afterwards to ask what had happened and who won, I'm still waiting a reply! lol
