A massive town fan, and very likable guy, who I'm sure will do well wherever he goes next.
Interestingly, the club will be advertising for a new 'Head of Catering' only....

Couldn't we have kept him on for a week and fielded him in the middle of the park?

Whilst the late Barry Hubbard and his Board were apparently marginalised, of course.

You're forgetting Paul Mitchell,so soon after his new 5 year contract and CT's statement that he was the "most important signing this season".

I really don't think I can be included in that list, Chris.

I think you've answered your own question.
Regarding Paul..I don't know the bloke personally but got to know each other's faces due to attending various functions at the ground. Always came across as a genuinely decent lad and town fan..I wish him all the best.

When you think about the changes DA spoke about to the Chesterfield Post after the AGM, the timing of Paul's decision is odd to say the least.
Tongue in cheek, I reckon that I have found his next role.

Tongue in cheek: I think I know how we got here then.
DA (bursting through the door):
What's Watts on
CT: X plus £10k.
DA: What?!! We are going to pay our restaurant manager only X less £10k at Owlerton.
CT: But Watts is Events Manager also
DA: Give over, we don't need one of those. Show him the door and advertise for a restaurant/catering manager.
CT: What about his employment rights.
DA: it's never stopped us before.
