Yeah they can go f**k themselves. That 1.7 billion could be going towards our nhs or reducing the deficit further. It's about time parliament did it's job and represented the opinions of the people. And we want a referendum to stop these vultures taking our money .

On the news last night there was a report the NHS has a £1.6 billion shortfall for this year. We pay £1.6 billion a years for membership and they've just asked for another £1.7 billion because our economy is doing so well.

Here's what the founding father of European federalism said:

no - we also paid a lot of money into the fund for the EU bail outs, as well as massive loans to the Republic of Ireland on top the EU loans they received.

£56,000,000 a day we contribute, and now they want an EXTRA £1,700,000,000.

The EU is UKIPs biggest recruiment Sergeat.
A new hope.

Some might see this as a clever move by Brussels. The demand for money that Cameron cannot really refuse undermines his position and allows UKIP to make gains mainly in Tory votes. This will almost certainly mean a drop of Conservative votes next year and so allow a Labour majority. The Labour party has always been more of a pro-European Social Democratic movement and with Miliband as leader might be less effective in opposing federalism.

Then they misjudge the feeling among the British Public. UKIP has support accross the political spectrum, as the 2 recent by election in Clacton and Heywood and Middleton showed.

A safe labour seat by many thousands, and its majority cut to a little over six hundred.
A new hope.

The whole thing is utterly ludicrous.Cameron should tell the EU to get stuffed.

Perhaps the EU would care to publish audited accounts so we can see where all these contributions go. Thats right, they havnt because if they did they would have to shut down due to their own constitution. So they just dont bother.

40 odd years ago, the UK voted for trade, nothing more. Nobody voted for what the EU is today, and if you proposed joining a new organisation on the current terms no one would vote for it either.

Time to slay this beast, once and for all, before it brings us all down.

A new hope.

Italian unemployment now hits 12.5%, while in Germany retail figures show spending/growth now as bad as it was in 2008.

We are going to get dragged down by this.

It's a bit like saving for a pension and somebody else not bothering and then you are no better off because the other person gets everything paid for. We as a country do cut backs and grow others don't bother, we pay. Very simplistic and cynical view ignoring any advantages of being in
