After Donald Trumps latest outburst in his Presidential campaign, preventing all Muslims from entering the USA, and if he gets elected, anyone who's entered the country from Syria will be sent back. I just wondered, given we are the supposed bastions of free speech, would a main steam political candidate dare make statements like that in the UK before being forced into an embarrassing climb down and the ruin of his political career.
The surprising thing is that his campaign seems to be going from strength to strength! I suppose controversy follows him about, look at his mocking of the disabled reporter the other week. He's disgusting!

It's things like this which really challenge our beliefs on free speech. Trump is a gimp who is as full of wind as his name would suggest but at the end of the day you shouldn't be able to shut someone up just because you don't like what they're saying; that's fascism in itself. That's why I don't like this board's attitude towards changing posts, locking threads, banning people and so on.
Happiness is like a cake. Have too much; and you get sick of it.

It would appear that trying to cover up mother natures efforts in the hair loss department appear to be top of the wish list for some of the super rich, including in our boardroom!

I think some of the stuff that Trump has said in public is far worse than Farage, which makes it all the more strange that he seems to be much closer to getting into power than Farage ever will be too..

I was in New York during September 11th this year and the general consensus of the public on national TV and on the streets was pretty racist against Muslims, Obama etc - wouldn't ever hear of anything like that on TV over here. You might get it from the odd person here and there but it genuinely seemed to be the majority harbouring right wing views in the US. The phone in on NBC on September 11th discussing memories of the event was ridiculous and how they didn't get cut off like they would over here I do not know, it was one after another of complete racist nonsense. No wonder Trump seems to be in with a real chance of getting somewhere..

He is a bit of a buffoon but he is right on one thing he said about Britain; We do have Muslim ghetto's or no go areas that Police and non Muslims don't enter.

If there is one good thing to come from his outburst it will hopefully be that our politicians stop ignoring this issue, which they do as they are so afraid of being labeled racist it's easier to ignore it completely. We can't address these issues until we can openly talk about them sensibly without a load of ignorant fools abusing you for doing so

Obviously this is a minority, but how many a holes do you need to behave like this before ordinary non Muslims feel that it's a no go area?
A new hope.
