I thought he was just about the best we have had so far this season. Made a few errors but got most of the decisions spot on today. I thought he should have sent the player off for the assault on Roberts in the first half. However on the cod faces official board their manager says the referee spoiled the game and on the fans forum they are saying he had a stinker. That just goes to show you sea air is no good for you and frazzles your brain

I walked out behind a couple of Fleetwood fans who were moaning that the ref was a 'homer'.
Can't comment on the sending off but for me, all the yellows were spot on and he was consistent throughout. They did seem to come to rough us up and their manager was a bad sport last season as I recall, never gave us any credit

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

As I said on the other thread Alexander showed himself for what he really is today with his gesture towards I think the referee after the sending off

Will you give us a few examples of the big decisions the ref made which made you cringe please?

Only decision I recall him getting wrong was his giving them a goal kick when it was a clear corner, he was a bit lenient with them, one foul on Roberts should have been a straight red, but on the whole he had a decent game

I did think he blew the whistle after the free kick leading to our second goal which would explain the dissent from the player who got sent off. I couldn't believe the goal stood to be honest. I was fully expecting him to have the kick re taken.

You have made it onto the code board and confirmed it for them that he had a stinker. So what cringeworty decisions did he make?

Referee definitely blew his whistle after the kick had been taken and I was surprised he didn't order a retake.

Certainly the ball seemed to be in flight whilst the ref's whistle was still blowing but whether it was kicked before he commenced blowing I am not sure.

Their keeper seemed very interested in the replay shown on the big screen but I thought he might be looking to see if there was a possibility of offside or an infringement as there would be no sound coming from the big telly.

However, let's be honest - if he hadn't have dropped it there would have been no goal.

The ref got it all wrong at Rochdale last week with a free kick, wrong place, no foam, and possibly no whistle and a goal that cost us a point so maybe things do even up a bit - difference being we were already ahead and running the show.

I would have liked him to have used the advantage rule as at least twice we were in good positions when he stopped the game to pull the play back. Overall though, much better than the dross we've had for the most part of the season and I'm not one to complain about officials.

Disagree

I didn't think the ref had a tough decision to make today.

The yellow cards were all pretty clear. The one on Roberts could have been a red but yellow was fair enough.

He showed early on he would book people for those tackles and did so consistently.

The only half hearted shout for a penalty came from us.

If I was asked to name a decision he gave in our favour that was even slightly contentious I would be hard pressed. Can't comment on the sending off but the player had been waived away by the ref a minute earlier at the freekick so if having had that warning he dissented again..and after being booked did so yet again he got what he deserved.

7 bookings and a sending off ( 2 if you count the manager ) i suspect that is a substantial fine for them ( which their money slinging chairman can afford )

I have been at games where I have felt the ref was for us..This wasn't one of them.

Only time I disagreed with the ref was not playing the advantage in the first half when the ball broke to banks..But that was against us not for us.

I think people have been a bit more forthright than that. If you disagree and think the ref had a bad game quoting some evidence would be nice.

We gone from the two most crappiest refs at the Proact to two cracking refs in the last two home games.

Pretty sure they'll face a fine for 'Failiure to control their players' and Alexander for???? 'Misconduct'??

I dunno, maybe not the 2 charges I mentioned but they'll definitely face some disciplinary action, that is for sure.

Instead of spouting the rubbish you are, come up with proof that he was a bad ref. If you cant then shut up

I didn't jump up when we scored because i thought the ref had blown for a free kick as Evo.went up to head the ball.
