I think I can have a sensible conversation with you.

"Hold your nerve".

It's still in your hands, and TBF Hartlepool desperately need the points.

Every side is inconsistent. No one has put a run together. Its has been the strangest season with no side seemingly capable of stringing anything together, or looking convincing.

However, I think we will get a result at Dagenham, and our GD is worth a point, so it would need a run of form that no one has managed to produce yet to displace us by 2 out of three from Fleetwood, Rochdale or Burton.

Its the inconsistent form that's leaves fans nervous. No one is completely convinced, hence the wild swings from world beaters when we win to wrist slashing when we lose.

A new hope.

Can't really disagree with any of that. Even if you look at Scunnie (despite some of this media nonsense about Russ Wilcox being the first "invincible") how many games have they drawn? The wheels also appears to have also come off at Rochdale big time. They have more chance of dropping out at the moment IMO.

It could also be over on Monday, it may go to Saturday, or beyond. Burton 2-0 BTW, so it may go on a tad longer.

Seriously? Do you think 2 out of Rochdale, Fleetwood and Burton are going to do better than us?
I know league 2 is very close and it looks like it's going to go to the last game of the season to confirm all 3 promotion spots, but I can't see 2 of them doing better than us.

All depends on York v Bury on Monday pal.

I'll be honest if you have a six point gap come teatime on Monday I will come on here and concede the bet to Starsky.

And wish you well too...

Maybe...

Well I'm worried too, like many others I suspect

edit 3-0
Only consolation is to see the Soccer Saturday link man looking sick after his goal celebration last week

Our GD is worth a point.

As Ex3 said, a win on Monday, and all we need to do is draw.

A new hope.

Monday's game must really, really be a must win game, to ensure it all remains in our hands. If we lose and Burton win, then Burton go into next Sunday's game knowing a win will mean their season is in their hands.

Meanwhile Rochdale at least know, as bad as they have been playing, all three of us, Burton and Fleetwood cant possibly win all our remaining games.

As daft as it sounds, Southend could hold the key .... which could be good for us !

They travel to Fleetwood next Saturday and are at home to Burton in the last game ! They are in form at the moment and are a formidable side to take on .... No one will relish having to play them and I personally think they are the team who will win the playoffs.

Its as real a possibility as any right now. Just as much as a win and the right results can almost rubber stamp promotion on Monday, a slip up and the wrong set of results mean that there is a very real chance we can be caught. Our run in is tough and our current form hardly sparkling. No room for even an iota of complacency that other teams can't catch us now, cause they can.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

I expected them to beat Pool easy today, because we made them look very poor last week.I hope Newport's pitch is the beating of them on Monday, we must win at Daggers.

Is that good, they'll be resting players and relaxing ready for the playoffs while us and Fleetwood may be scrapping it out.

Best win Monday and then at Burton

Thats the fear isn't it? It certainly happens, why bother risking their best players in a match that is a dead rubber.
