Right, I don't get to many games, due to living in the south, so I was really looking forward to the game yesterday. Then we had to sit in front of the most miserable town fans I have ever heard. The chaps were the ultimate tracksuit managers, probably knowing the entire Football Manager database on every player, and complained about everything from the first whistle to last.

They ruined my day at the game, I know we were poor, but it's support that is needed and not slagging off of the team. I don't understand the negativity at the games now, other than nerves, we are a better team than that I endured as a youngster (Duncan era), and we should be optimistic of where our club are going.

Surely if you are that down about the team, you should spend your match day watching SkySportsNews whilst pretending to manage the club on Football Manager..

Well you certainly don't speak for me. I'd have been gutted if you'd offered me the play offs at the start of the season.

We nearly got into the play offs last season without really trying. This season we have signed Evatt, Morsy, Roberts and Ryan. Right arm for the play offs?

I wouldn't have given a penny for that, unless we had been bottom of the league at Christmas, and come through the field since. We stand on a precipice, and if we fail I am not sure I can see what the landscape will look like next season.

No, we are Chesterfield with a top three playing budget in a league with teams like Mansfield, Torquay and Northampton in it.

Plus with the exception of Jamie & Shinner, an entire new backroom team.

Chesterfield yeah lower league team doing there best to get out.. We should encourage the team not pull them to bits coz we have a few good players, and coz we have a few good players peoples expectations are way to high. Yes we all want up but we all have to remember a few years back in a **** ground never winning nothing so to me we have moved right forward... People who arnt happy with our progress derby ain't far away for higher standard football, we won't miss ya

Mansfield's budget is the same as ours!! Who do you think is the other one if we are top 3?

We are not pretty much on the same budget. We have a top quality budget for this league - look at the calibre of player we've brought in, they won't be here just for the view of the Crooked Spire. I'm not moaning, just saying. I'm not a big moaner by any means.

I see your point but we have to remember a few decent players don't make us the best team ever!! Even big prem spenders struggle now and again, this is football!!!

We will struggle next season if we are still in League Two. The prospect of reduced season ticket sales, reduced crowds means we are highly likely to see a fire sale of people like Ryan, Morsy and Lee as our Chairman shores up HIS business.

Remind me how many points you took of Mansfield this season, and did you take six off Northampton?

Perhaps you should have stopped down south then and watched a game of tennis. Football is about passion and every supporter that pays their well earned cash to enter those turnstiles has a right to an opinion.....if they are negative that is up to them. This club and these supporters are no different to any club or any other supporters in the country. Yesterday was rubbish and perhaps if you had been to more matches you may feel as frustrated as the people around you. I think you are totally out of order to come on this message board identifying particular seats and complaining.....if you had a problem why didn't you go and speak to the 'negative'?
Everyone thinks they could have picked a better team, made better substitutions......we all think we could do a better job, that is people having opinions it doesn't make it right or wrong.....you are clearly in the wrong sport. Go to Arsenal, QPR, Chelsea......you will experience exactly the same
