I'd wager that the poster you've quoted has 'inside knowledge' so i think it's safe to say if he says Tommy is still struggling then he's still struggling. Goes with what I heard yesterday too.

Anyon was struggling and he was fully fit

It's not something with Tommy that's going to get better though is it? Either he manages it or he calls time on his professional career.

He's obviously made that decision.

Do you have detailed knowledge of his original injury, the surgery and subsequent complications to make such a statement

Strange question to ask?
No I don't but he has had surgery, has undergone full rehab and has been judged fit to play professional football again.
His insurance wouldn't let him unless passed by a professional.
Like I said if he has fully rehabbed (which he obviously has) there should be no issue.
A shoulder injury (even for a keeper) is actually pretty good in terms of reoccurrence when compared to lower leg injuries

Can someone remind me which shoulder it was? When he was warming up yesterday he didnt seem to have the same full movement in his left shoulder as he had in his right.

The major concern was his left shoulder where he had eight anchors inserted (whatever they are). Since that surgery, further procedures have been necessary (whatever they were).

He has also had surgery on his right shoulder which he described as a "tidy up"

When fully fit, he'll be like the Bionic Man

The "tidy up" will have been removal of the wear and tear stuff and a shaving of the bone, so it doesn't catch on the other bone, to stop and impingement. I'm having mine done tomorrow.
