Talbot was poor today. Still a quality full back when fit

Not anymore, he's over the hill.

It occurs to me that if the opportunity to loan Drew out arises, it should be snapped up. Plymouth, for instance, might remember the uplift he gave them. He surely won't be offered a new contract here.

Sheridan is probably the only manager who'd take him on at this moment in time, and we'd be daft to loan him to one of our relegation rivals.

I mean as in football ability.
He looked lost out there yesterday, passes all going astray or at 100mph. offered nothing, was like playing with 10 men.

Second that ,and bringing on headless chicken gardner poor decision

Had to play him, we have almost no creativity without him. Whether you like him or not the opposition see him as a threat who will take them on as opposed to a lot of our other players who will slow play down and look for that oh so incisive square ball.

His problem is getting injured all the time and it probably would be the right decision to let him go at the end of the season as he doesn't seem able to have a run of games without taking another knock. Then when taken a knock it takes him a few games to get back to anything like the old Talbot.

Walsall at home in the cup, he was immense and the two following away games also, one was Bury, forget the other, he got man of match 3 games on trot so can still do it when fully fit, I've no doubt whatsoever. His problem is how many games over a season he is 100% fit is not that many..

I still think he's our best option at right or left back and will do more than a "job" when he plays. Looked out of sorts on the wing though.

I just hope these injuries that have no doubt played a massive part in his now downward spiral don't cloud the view of Talbot over his time here. Never in any game over about 8 years as he given anything less than 100% and in many of those games been consistently 7 or 8 out of 10 in a number of positions. IMO when he was at his best, he was one of if not the best right back I've seen at town.

The role he was asked to play didn't help at all. Poor from Wilson I think. I'd have played him left back instead or Dion or left him out.

What I can work out is o'neil signed as a cm, Talbot a rb. So why on earth wasn't Talbot at rb?
Would like to see Simons get a run of games from the start & ariyibi is a must for starting

Start with Simons instead of the fat useless lardarse who starts every game before being subbed and waddling off not even shamefacedly.
Saved his face and abuse being hurled his way by not appearing for the second half.

Adds or gives nothing to any game. Why play him just because he's costing a fortune. Accept it's money down the drain and give the young lads a chance, at least they will give effort.

We look far more likely to score with Simons up front rather than SEB
