The first meeting has been held this morning, basically a hello and a quick covering of the areas we wish to discuss. There is 8 of us, and there should be a piece in the next program with email details for all of us and the 'area' we will cover, e.g I'll cover West Stand/Family area, as different areas of the ground have different issues.
Please feel free to add queries here, I will try my best to get answers for them. Haven't got time now to put what was covered today, but will add more tomorrow.

Would it be possible to get the ticket office or shop open later one night a week, even if it was only to pick up paid-for tickets. Especially with away tickets, I'm OK phoning up to buy them but I find it difficult to get there except on match days to collect.

I attended this mornings first fans forum.

This was basically just a get together for everyone to meet and establish how things were to move forwards.

There will be a second meeting on the morning of the Southend United home game.

If anyone has any points they would like raising they can either contact me on here or email me direct on: nigelgoodlad@rocketmail.com

Thanks Nigel.

I also attended the meeting this morning. To anyone else who's part of the forum, it was really nice to meet you.

With regards to the online ticketing, they have estimated that it will be ready in a few weeks time. Unsure about the scoreboard - will raise this at the next meeting, as it benefits the players as well as the spectators with regards to minutes played. And Ticketing is on the agenda for discussion at the next meeting also.

I understand that there will be something on the website next week regarding contact details for us who are in the forum so any issues to do with subjects such as ticketing, can be put across to members of the forum very easily

Cheers,

Andy

I asked about online ticketing this morning and was told the new system should be up and running by early September.

The scoreboard IT system needed a full re-set, and because of the existing contract coming to or already ended this wasn't possible today. Will be ok for next match.

No it's not Baz.

Fans were invited to make an application to represent different sections of supporters on the clubs official site early in the summer.

There are folks representing all three home stands, away travelling fans, disabled fans, etc.

Ages of forum members range from 20s to over 60.

There are seven males and one female.

I personally would have liked to have seen a more even split,Marcia however may have been the only female applicant?

The ticket office subject could prove uneasy!

The application form asked for personal details of the applicant and which section of fans they wished to represent.

We were also asked to present a case of why we felt we were suitable for the role.

I don't know how many applied and it could possibly be the case that we were the only eight to do so.

Possibly, but rest assured I personally won't hestitate from putting forward any valid and sensible questions that are asked of me.

Will you ask about the loyalty points thing mate? If they're been carried over to our new season tickets - what we can use them on or were they just one big stunt?

Question; will the 'true blue' travel club be actively trying to encourage more fans to attend away fixtures by coach ie cheaper travel, more coaches rather than the one / two.

it appears to be set in its ways- usually 1 coach instead of being more flexible?

the support is there, Leeds away etc, they just need to tap into it , encourage more to travel away with a more attractive pricing policy / better advertising under the stands or in the shop / local papers etc & not just sticking with the one coach policy.

try to be more flexible, ie by putting on extra coaches or smaller coaches if the demand is not there for 2/3/4 coaches etc.

the bridge inn are excellent at supplying away coach travel, the club could do better imo.
