This thread shows exactly why football is such a wonderful game. We need two players according to Deano and yet the opinions on here as to what those two should be is staggering. We need a right back, centre half, Jimmy Ryan clone midfielder, someone offering pace and crearivity and a centre forward. Good luck Dean.

It begs the question as to why the bluddddy interviewer didn't ask him to expand his answer, and save us all this trouble.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

A jimmy Ryan clone so he can sign for us at the last minute rather than a non league outfit then sod off to Fleetwood when his wife tells him?..no thanx

Deep down he probably knows we need a lot more than 2 but has possibly been told he can have 2, so he has to play the game. As for the number of views being staggering, there's only 5 positions been named

What I had in mind was a Jimmy Ryan clone who got us promoted one year and into the play-offs the next. After that we can think again.

In his post match interview Deano let on he thinks we need a couple more players.
Where does everyone think we need bolstering? Any ideas as to where he thinks we need reinforcements?
I'm inclined to think our problem is midfield & defending from the front but I'm sure you'll all have your own ideas.

By that does he mean we need to field 13 players?

Another striker? With Novak to come back? If so Lavery would be a good call

How long is Novak out for?

In all seriousness, he may not be too far off in that assessment.

RB is a huge problem given the lack of pace centrally to cover for any errors. Something is seriously wrong with Talbot and he doesn't seem physically able to play there. As for O'Niell at right back, we may as well play Jeff Hall there, he doesn't seem to have any confidence in himself or any conviction in what he's doing. Just slowly backing off of the winger and then letting him drift past easily and offering nothing going forwards. I know it's not his favoured position but (as across a lot of the team) there doesn't seem the appetite to go out there and put a shift in.

The other problem position is CM partnering Morsy. Herd may come good with more game time but at the moment we're relying on SM to be the footballing link between attack and midfield and also be the cover for the defense - he's getting precious little help in there and we're too often on the backfoot in games from early on. The result of which is we hoof it long to forwards who are just not suited to play this way and we see little of the ball and our defensive frailties are shown up.

We're playing too much hopeful football at the moment, we don't look like we are playing to any pre-ordained plan.
As much as people will attack me for this, I reckon we need to get Ollie Banks back in playing in the no 10 role, drop O'Shea into partner Morsy so he see's more of the ball and keep Sam as the deeper midfielder to cover the defense.

As for RB, until Herd can see out a full game, I don't know.

A fully fit, L1 standard RB is a must.

But we're also crying out for pace and creativity - which costs a hell of a lot of money.

If you can persuade DA to open his wallet or recruit what we need on the cheap you'll go up in my estimations, Dean.

How do you explain Burton and Colchester's set up?

We could. Was this '10 days' an accurate assessment as some other claims have been borderline fiction?

Jimmy signed for Fleetwood because he wanted to see his kids grow up.

If we had offered him on a par with certain players that year we might have got his signature.

Not a situation entirely created by the hands of Saunders though. I wasn't thrilled at his appointment, but players sold, players injured have all taken their toll, yet we're still only 3 points off playoffs

Saunders isn't going to get the sack as the board are as responsible for the current situation. The only way Deano goes would be if he walked away and why would he.

Let's remember a win Saturday and we are 2 points less than at this time last year same games with a weaker side

Time for DA and CT to sanction a couple of quality loans with arrangements in place to make permanent in January.
Bids need to go into clubs to give them an incentive to loan out the player

A weaker side on a higher wage, which is... worrying. For me.

Cant remember who it was, DA or CT but they said the wage budget has increased. I'd find the interview but... who's got time for that?
