Dick Advocatt apparently on verge of walking out at Sunderland, and could even go this weekend with a defeat at home to West Ham. Apparently Dyche was seriously considered in the summer and would be one of the top choices again and what with Darikwa continuing to get rave reviews and top marks if things panned out would Dyche be keen to take his top right back with him. Either way at it seems only a matter of time before he starts attracting interest from the top league.

My Burnley supporting uncle asked me only the other day if there was a sell on clause. He is confident that if Burnley don't go straight back up, that they will be selling Darikwa to a premiership team. But, like i said to him, even if there is a hefty sell on clause, it will all go in DA's back pocket anyway.

I'd be pleased for tendayi and for the extra cash coming into the club mate but after recent events I am not confident it wouldn't all go on debt reduction (as I genuinely think DA is looking for a exit) or be squandered on a crock or has been...

Is debt reduction a bad thing for CFC, then?
These go to eleven.

Not at all...but a lack of reinvestment in quality replacement players is!

No mate had to swerve this one. Its my Mrs birthday meal later and I'd struggle to get back coupled with a slight lack of enthusiasm tbh!

Have a safe journey and give em a shout for me.... COYB!

I have watched him quite a bit on tv and he seems to be adapting well to the championship but he is also making his share of mistakes. I also get the impression he is reluctant to hold on to the ball and take players on. I would be surprised if he got to the PL any sooner than a Burnley promotion.

Well I would say he'd jump head first at the Sunderland job.

Biggest team he would have managed. Contract to match. Nothing to lose really if he fails as they are a basket case - but !!if he succeeds the world is his oyster.
God I hate this league.

What we've seen so far seems to be a great advertisement for anti-austerity.

Well the more successful we are the more chance he has of getting out and getting his money back. If people think running us into the ground will get a buyer then I'm struggling to see how or why

Still reduces our debt to him all the same. Debts need to be settled.

Burnley is a proper football town. Not much bigger than Chesterfield but by comparison the fan base is huge

It's smaller if you use 2011 census figures

87k (Burnley) v 103k (Chesterfield)
