Talk about anything health & fitness related. Some ideas:

- Your diets
- Your goals
- Your workouts
- Asking for help and advice with how to lose weight/tone up etc.

I'm starting ketosis tomorrow, just going for the big food shop now. Brief explanation of ketosis "for dummies" here: http://www.free-work...ic-dieting.html

Gonna try for two months of eating nothing but high-fat high-protein foods in an attempt to cut my body fat dramatically. No beer, no bread, no rice, no pasta just good old fashioned caveman snap.

What are you lot up to? Any regular exercisers on Bobs Board or people who want to lose a bit of weight?

I don't buy into any of these fad diets to be honest. I'm all about a balanced diet with things such a beer, less healthy foods or treats in moderation and keeping active. Football three times a week and walk to and from work everyday. Keeps me trim and reasonably fit and annoys the Mrs as I can pretty much eat what I want!

I play football 1 or 2 times a week, play dodgeball once a week, cycle to and from work everyday (11 miles / day) and occasional gym user. Im still not at my ideal weight, could do with getting my bodyfat down (currently 19%).

I tried the 5/2 diet but got pretty drunk off with it to be honest. I like me food and beer too much, id rather have to exercise loads and eat and drink than not eat and drink.

Balanced diets and regular exercise are the best ways to living a healthy lifestyle and getting the body in shape. Obviously there are products out there that can speed up that process but the main thing to remember is that it takes time for the body to change.

Just by cutting the beer out you’ll notice a difference.

I'm not going into this blind bros I have done this before and the results spoke for themselves. Once I use it to cut to a low body fat %age then I can get back on my normal low fat diet with carbs again but cutting whilst consuming a large amount of carbs daily is nigh on impossible for me personally not to mention my body's slow rate of metabolism

plus i can eat as much pork as i like B-)

Sounds like you’ve got plenty of experience, but I can’t imagine that would make much difference to your weight loss.

Giving up alcohol for a set period of time works for me. As i can stop and start when i please it helps when im trying to lose weight fast. Last year i dropped over 2 stone in just 6 weeks as a result of no drinking.

There are grave dangers to metabolically messing with your system; denying, too much protein, too few calories, too many calories, too many carbs (sugar); fad dieting simply doesnt work long-term. Everyone should maintain a semi or full vegetarian diet and exercise every day, both weights and cardio.

Course it doesnt work long term, I couldnt do it long term anyway. It's a quick way to get rid of excess body fat, that's all. You try cutting on a carb-heavy diet, it's an unnessesery thing to do.

Full vegetarian diet?! To quote the McDonalds kid, nah you're alright.

Mate, I was laughing at your McDonalds quip :-)

I know it works and I know you will be 'cut', albeit temporary; my main reference was not to what you are planning to do per se, but, moreover, to 'yo-yo' dieting.

Ah my bad.

I know there are better more "healthier" (I don't like that word) ways to do this but none will be this fast.
