I think he's just what we need. If we could get him on loan paying a small amount of his wages id snap their hands off

In theory it's fantastic. Returning hero after 17 and a half years - I don't see Cook going for that angle though as the man who decided to get rid of Jack Lester.

If you had to choose, which one of the two (Jack or Kev) would you like to see back?

It's a hard one ;)

Exciting prospect yes, but there are limits
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Jack for me. Obviously Davies has made it at a higher level but they are totally different players. I see jack as a natural finisher and Kev as the type who would lead the line well and bring our midfield into it. We need someone to put the ball away not bring our goal-shy midfield into it. Jacks the man. Just my opinion mind.

We have the top.scorer in the division

would have to be Kev, better player and would be more useful to the team

I was 11 last time he pulled on a town shirt. I'd love to see it but I don't think Cook is one for sentiment. If he's not getting a game for Preston then you'd have to think age has caught up with him. Saying that he's had no pace for the last decade.

I would have him back not for for sentiment but for footballing reasons. With Davies being a beast and such a powerful player its easy to forget how good a footballer he actually is. Be a great option to have, would be a great influence around the dressing room and immediately put an extra 1,000 on gate. Go get him Cooky!!

He wouldn't put a thousand on the gate but he'd be a better option that Armand. Would he swap a bit part there to the same here?

Thats a fair comment, and if we are to persist with 4-4-2 his holding the ball and accurate flick ons might be something Doyle could use.
A new hope.
